MarlinTheMagician Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Reposted a fake Twitter account that said he was, today. But he would be a good alternative - how much for a one-year deal? Not sure we can find the coins in the couch it would take. Quote
DrDawkinstein Posted August 21 Posted August 21 Not only did you post the fake twitter account, but you originally did in in Off The Wall. And that thread lives on. We're sending you back to (message) boarding school, son. 12 Quote

MarlinTheMagician Posted August 21 Author Posted August 21 They should get Samuel in for a visit right away to see how close to ready he is. Maybe a one-year, $5 million prove it deal with incentives? Quote

If you don’t hear anything about other corners coming in then it’s likely Tre is ok. Also why would Samuel give us that good of a deal? SI has him projected to get 8-10 mill I agree that with what I'm hearing from Sal, I don't believe Tre is dealing with a long term injury. But we won't know for sure until we know. As for the separate point about Samuel's market, if there were a team that would give him 8-10m, it would have happened by now. We're dangerously close to the time where he takes what's offered or he gets nothing and stays at home. That said, I'm not convinced that even if Tre was done that we'd call Asante. I'm willing to bet they'd call Rasul Douglas. Even though I think he's toast, their MO is always familiarity with McDermott's Defense before talent/ability. Especially being so close to Week 1. Not a lot of time to learn a new complicated playbook. Edited August 22 by BillsFanForever19 1 1 Quote

SI has him projected to get 8-10 mill A different, recent, publication indicated he might have to take an incentive-laden deal to get in that range, and threw out $5 million gtd with potential to get to $8 or $9. Plus, if he really thinks he is healthy (neck surgery in July to stop persistent stingers in both shoulders that have gone on for years), there are few better stages to "prove it" on than this year's Bills. For now, I will hope against hope for Tre. 1 Quote

If they were to cut Hamlin a post what ever date cut they would save like $7 million not sure he would come here for that but with Tre going down if he can't play would that mean they would save some additional money from his contract to they might be able to make it happen ... 2 Quote

Hamlin makes 2 million, he's paid like an lower mid-level backup. Not sure where you would get this idea that Hamlin saves 7 million? 1 2 Quote

Is that why everyone is so grumpy? They think were paying Hamlin $7 mil? Were paying the whole room only like 10mil (prior to cuts). Probably only 8 after cuts. 1 1 Quote
