Honestly I'd be ok with Gabe Davis as a WR4-6.  He could be a good fit for this offense.  My major issue with him was it seemed a few times a year near the goal line he and Allen wouldn't be on the same page with a hot route on a blitz or where they wouldn't make the same read.

I was disappointed they didn't re-sign Mack Hollins this offseason.

Agreed.   And with Coleman and Palmer outside, the only place Gabe should be getting goal line/red zone snaps is in the slot as an in line blocker who can run routes like we saw against KC in his blow up game.

What does that say about the rest of the WRs outside the top 3 on our roster that the Bills FO are considering him?

You people act like there's a bunch of perennial all pro WRs just sitting at home on the couch waiting for a call.  This isn't madden.

We can’t expect Allen to be the league MVP every year with a lesser cast than his peers have though.

Josh has an elite oline, great run game, good TE's, and role players at WR.

You're not going to pay a top tier QB, and then have star players at every other position group.  This formula has been proven to work on offense.

I'm much more concerned with the continued investment in defense falling flat.  If this rookie class doesn't hit the ground running it's going to be the same stroy.

Proven by last year.

Everyone was worried our offense was going to suck because we lost Diggs and had no #1.  Well, the offense was great and we were let down by our defense in the biggest moments- again.

After you said, and I quote

"hes awful

I pointed out that right now, the bottom half of our WR roster do not have the confidence of the coaching staff who watch them every day.  In order to remedy that, other WRs are being brought in to asses their viability to replace one or more of the currently rostered WRs.  You may feel that Gabe David is "awful, barely an nfl talent" but others feel that he might be the best choice at this time, given who else is available.

Im wondering perhaps if you can have someone around you help you understand this, maybe with simple images rather than words.

i think the offense was efficient

i wouldn't say it was great so much as it was unlikely to be repeated...i just don't think relying on a never-before-seen negative play rate is sustainable

Gabe is constantly injured, he was injured or recovering from injury his entire time in Buffalo, with an around a fifty percent catch rate, and what chemistry he had with Josh had disappeared for his last two seasons here, the guy is a # 4 receiver and was only good when he had three other guys taking coverage away from him, that’s why he was never offered a new contract,

While I agree with you. The person I was replying to wasn’t talking about the Bills offering him a contract.

I definitely think the turnover differential is unlikely to be repeated.

But it's not like we're just running it back with the same corps.  Coleman seems to be emerging and they brought in Palmer who looks like he will take on a pretty big role.  We're are good in the slot with Shakir and I think there is more to see from Kincaid.  Pair that with bringing back the entire OL and RB room, I don't really have any concerns about the offense.

As was I.  He provided a good set of hands… but it was his attitude that I think the offense needed and still needs the most.

I just hope this isn’t another season where by Week 4, we’re celebrating one of our WRs getting more than a half yard of separation on a play here and there.
