Wacka Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago (edited) The biggest quake on earth since 2011 (Fujiyama?) hit in the Pacific off Kamchatka in Russia at about 4:45 PM EDT. No details yet but tsunami warnings issued for Hawaii for 7 PM Hawaii time (1 oe 2 AM EDT?). Edited 18 hours ago by Wacka Quote
Augie Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago In hope the damage is minimal and people are ok. It was a sneaky good holding in the game Risk, but that is another issue. 3 3 Quote
Wacka Posted 18 hours ago Author Posted 18 hours ago Now announced as 8.7 Tsunami warnings issued for West Coast of US and Canada. 1 Quote

Wacka Posted 16 hours ago Author Posted 16 hours ago I have it with the original wood pieces, not the plastic ones. Quote

But the same place as the earthquake. They posted it yesterday so lots of accounts saying that just happened. Crazy. 1 Quote

sherpa Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago It doesn't surprise me it was here. That peninsula has the highest number of volcanoes and volcanic activity on earth. Used to go over it and the city of Petropavlovsk all the time on the way from the US to Tokyo. They have tones of geysers and other stuff that indicates really active sub surface stuff. Weird area. Draconator Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago I tell ya. California is overdue for a major 7+ magnitude earthquake. The amount of pressure being released on the Pacific Rim and being built up on the US West Coast is crazy. Quote
