5th round rookie. Had 1.5 sacks vs Lions and apparently flashed a lot.

He's only 20 years old and made the physical freaks list but when the scouts said he had a wrestling background was when I thought McD would end up drafting him somewhere in the late rounds.

However, he was injured during the celebration dance of his 1/2 sack. He is now out for 3-4 weeks.

Is this some kind of joke I don't get ot you're being serious? If the latter, where do you get it from? I don't see any info about it.

Joke. Go back and track the history of our Jordan Phillips. Sorry to confuse you.

Just went to check on that athletic freak safety (Nick Emmanwori) to see how he was doing in Seahawks camp and apparently he’s not only been one of their more consistent starters, but he’s been one of the stars of the team. The coach described him as a “fun player to coach.”

Dart takes over by game 4 and save Dabolls job

Dart has looked good

I’d play Winston over Wilson if they don’t wanna start Dart right away.  Wilson has been cooked for a couple years.  Afraid to take hits and checks down the second he feels pressure.

Wilson is safe at this point in his career. Its why he played last year in Pittsburgh. As much as Daboll needs to win games, his best shot is the rookie. Winston is a turnover machine

Dart has looked good but its preseason. Remember Nate Peterman also looked good in preseason and then we saw what he looked like in a real game. I am not saying Dart won't be a good QB in the future. Let's see him do it in a regular season game against the other team's starting defense who will actually be game planning for him. It doesn't matter anyway as Wilson will be the starting QB for them.

The only thing Peterman and Dart have in common is they both play QB

Still Dart is going to have to show it in a regular season game. But I do think he has a good chance to be the backup to Wilson this year.

The Browns just named Flacco as their starter.

Who of Pickett, Gabriel, Sanders, and Huntley will stay? Certainly no more than 2 of those 4 right?

You also wouldn't think it would be Flacco and two rookies though I guess that's possible.

Gabriel and Sanders - easy choice.  You're not cutting a 3rd round QB year 1.  And Cleveland might burn down if Sanders is cut.

Pickett and Huntley have shown what they are at this point - 2 P/S type QBs.

Huntley is definitely gone.  I would expect Pickett will be too.

Unless pocket looks like the savior, but somehow Flacco looks better than that even…. You have to protect sheer upside of the young guys, even if long shots. Pickett or Huntley will likely be around if you need to call them because Flacco got hurt.

If I’m Daboll I pull the plug on Wilson if he doesn’t show much after the first 4 games and insert Dart. Let him play the Saints, wet his feet and go from there.

I could see that happening. Both Daboll and Schoen need the Giants to start winning games this season and show real improvement from last season. If not, then I expect the Giants to clean house and have a new GM and HC for 2026.

The worst part for both of them is their schedule. It’s absolutely brutal.

You’re probably spot on about them cleaning house.

However…

That’s why I’m in the camp of getting Dart in there for them as soon as Russ isn’t showing anything.

Him showing promise, making some plays and leading the team in certain scenarios and games might be the final thread that keeps their jobs on a potentially awful losing season.

I'd guess they'd bring back at least one vet on the PS just to have another veteran voice in the QB room to help Flacco prepare each week
