If he pans out, a great under the radar (so far) late round draft pick Which is nuts cause i was very happy with Van Demark coming out of 2023 and Van Demark played well against KC in the reg season last year. Feel like we might be trading an OL for a late round pick this year. Hoping we can get as high as a 5th rounder 1 1 Quote
SCBills Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Sounds like Dewayne Carter had a good Day 1 of Practice and is out there with the 2’s again today. Was never thrilled with the pick to begin with, but he did at Duke what we love with his quick penetration ability on the interior. With all the DL new additions, he’s the forgotten man, but man it would be sweet if he makes a second year jump and with a year of S&C has bulked up enough to hold his own but still maintain his quick twitch penetration skill. 2 Quote

I thought they were switching him to NT or 1 tech DT to backup DQ or compete with DQ for starter. Not sure they want him penetrating. Will be interesting to see where he lines up. Of course if DQ has a bounce back year then it might not matter too much. Quote

He's below average at RT..or at least has been to this point. 1 Quote

I was also concerned with him on the right after TC in 2023. Think many were cause he got smoked by steelers iirc. I thought he was very serviceable last year against KC. Though in hind sight Karlaftis got 4 pressures and a QB hit so not great, but I still think serviceable as a swing tackle (was worried in 2023 he couldnt do the right at all). Quote
HappyDays Posted July 24 Posted July 24 One update from Matt Parrino that I thought worth posting: Quote Deone Walker mucks up the middle on a James Cook run that goes for just a yard or two. Walker is massive. Finds somebody to hit. Next play Walker blows up a screen to Samuel running down the line to make the stop. Hell of a start for the rookie. 8 7 1 Quote

Carter showed flashes before his wrist injury derailed his rookie season. He just wasn’t the same when he came back, which stands to reason given how important those hand battles are at the LOS. If he can stay healthy, he may surprise us this year. 3 2 Quote
Bills!Win! Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Defense let up a few long scoring plays. McDermott visibly not happy with defense and coaching them hard Quote
Buffalo03 Posted July 24 Posted July 24 Maybe someone can explain to me like I'm dumb. But what is the point to 7 on 7? Quote

If we learned anything from the Miller situation, i truly hope its, prepare for the worst/hope for the best, and LOAD MANAGEMENT! Dude should absolutely not see the field in regular seasons unless its 3rd down..... and Im not kidding, its not until 4th quarter. Let the young guys get the development reps and keep JB safe. Get more passing reps in while hog mollies go pound each other somewhere else. Basically take the pass rush part of the play out of the equation and look at just coverage and routes (obviously favors the offense a lot). Quote
