If the player ever played with McDermott, doesn't count. So like Kyle Williams and Jerry Hughes wouldn't be eligible. Players like Mario Williams, Fred Jackson, Antoine Winfield etc....would. Plus you pick the coach. Jauron, Rex, Williams, Chan, Mularkey...am I missing someone? Who would you take? I still take our team now because we have Josh Allen and they would have....Fitz? I don't see enough offensive firepower on the Draught team side. That's nuts... I would put that 2004 Bills defense against anyone. Ranked 2nd in the league at the time they had Schobel, Fletcher, Spikes, Fat Pat, Sam Adams, Clements/McGee manning the outside and a young Jabari Greer. Absolutely would crush even today. On the other side Moulds & Evan’s at WR (a top 5 tandem) middle of the pack QB Bledsoe and an underrated McGahee who rushed for 1100+ 13 TDs. Their problem was the line was crap. Still went 9-7, but largely because of their defense being so great. 1 Quote

hondo in seattle Posted July 11 Posted July 11 I think the All-Drought team is better at a lot of position groups, but the current team would win for two reasons: HC and, mostly, QB. Btw, I personally think of Kyle, Tyrod, and Moulds as drought players even if they did get to taste the playoffs at the beginning or end of their Bills careers. 1 1 Quote

I do in my mind count Tyrod and Kyle as drought players. But for this thread, I wanted to even it out a little more. Its basically 17 years of talent to choose from. 1 Quote
The Cincinnati Kid Posted July 11 Posted July 11 That’s cool. Tyrod, Kyle Williams, Lorenzo Alexander are Drought guys. 1 season with McDermott doesn’t override the several seasons of drought years of service for them. Quote

That said, if you’re ever near Stowe, VT it’s worth going to The Alchemist to get a Heady Topper from the hand pull. I thought that there were Bills players who lived in England and played draughts. It's all sixes and sevens! 1 Quote

This is interesting.. cause you could view it if they played in the drought and never made the playoffs.. or if they ever made the playoffs on either side they were ineligible... I picked players that played in the drought era that might have been in the playoffs prior to the drought ending but not after... So, Moulds to me was ok, Tyrod was not... doesnt really matter... just interesting peoples views on how you would pick... anyways late on Friday time for a bourbon.... 1 Quote

I know everyone says Allen makes up the difference but he’s one guy. Come on. I’d love to see the current WRs try to get open vs that secondary for example. 1 Quote
Chandler#81 Posted July 12 Posted July 12 (edited) The players on the ‘drunk’ team are better. But we’ve won 5 straight Division titles because Josh Allen is this teams’ QB. Ergo, I’ll take the 2025 team. Edited July 12 by Chandler#81 1 Quote
