It was wild.  There was the Sabres, Bills, Bandits, arena, Healthy Scratch, Harbor Center, Amerks, Knighthawks, One Buffalo, their silly record label, sports agency, etc.

I feel like Kim got involved, and even with her meager night school management course education, figured out that Terry was lighting money on fire all over the place.  Kim started to reel it in, then had her medical episode.  Now fracking Jed Clampett doesn't really know what to do from here.

For the record, that "silly" record label is actually successful.

Unfortunately the Sabres are Terry's special plaything. He's in meetings and speaks with Adams daily. Is he just absorbing info or is he injecting himself in the team management process? It's not clear.

Very true, but it doesn’t change my premise that successful people don’t like to lose. He can either keep beating the dead horse or come to the realization that he’s not good at running a hockey team. It’s not as if he’s only owned the team for a season or two. Maybe he should go ‘play’ with something else.

That's the hope behind bringing in Jarmo Kekäläinen as an adviser. But I got a weird vibe from Kevyn Adams from the presser yesterday.

Kekalainen working remotely in Columbus (not even here for the draft) is very discouraging.

Maybe Terry is soiling his drawers because he is 1 billion dollars over budget for the new stadium and contractors are starting to halt the project. They have some LED wall and broadcast gear supposed to be shipped but it has been put on hold. Not needed now but they need to secure the LED walls so current steps for lagging and bolting have been put on hold as contactors want their dough. Getting bad. That's just one small example of the issues. I'm hearing nightmare stories. Like... this aint our last season at current Rich stadium. news to come.... and it will come.

Yes. That doesn't sound like he's "all in" to me

First I've heard of this. I take you know people involved? One person I know who supposedly has some connections said most of the overruns were self-inflicted by Terry making changes and adding things last minute. Have your heard anything like that?

Well, that’s good to know that you were there during the presentation and could read the minds of those preparing the message. That’s quite a gift!

If raises are not expected, that should be communicated. That’s how it generally works in the real world. They told the truth, and that brings hate from some.

I guess I should expect anyone who goes by “Fire Anyone” would be inherently negative.

Oh the lengths you will go to defend the Pegulas.

“You don’t know the reporting by people who were there was accurate. You weren’t there!”

Talking about the important of maintaining your family’s lifestyle while also telling your employees times are tough, and sacrifices will need to be made, including them not getting raises or bonuses is actually a good thing!

There are always job site rumors about all sorts of stuff. From my experience few, if any, are true.

How do you know it’s successful? It is not a public company so its financials are not known.

They've already said that the stadium will not be 100% completed by September of the 2026 season but it will be accessible for fans and to hold a game

I’m not defending anyone, because I wasn’t there either. I’d like to know exactly what happened and how it happened before having a strong opinion. I find it works best that way.

Look, it may have been poor messaging, but I want more than anecdotal reports that fit my narrative. If it was communicated poorly, that’s something they can learn from and improve upon.

BUT, I don’t blame them for saying that the Bills have to stand as an independent business entity and they have to be self-reliant. They are a business for goodness sakes. What is wrong with that? It’s not just as inflammatory as “we have to maintain our luxury yachts and private jets”, but it’s the same message.   Nuance matters.

you said Pegula got rid of Brandon and Whaley, essentially, immediately.  That's clearly another fabrication.

I'm wearing you there like "Buffalo Bill" wears the girls in the  pit--spot on!  just put the lotion in the basket, doc...

Unless you have a Time Machine and are very very sneaky, you will never know exactly what happened because you will never be there.

Our best information comes from the reports that came out.

Asking for stronger evidence is laughable on its face. Are you not sure George Washington existed because you weren’t there? Do we all need to hold our horses that Thomas Jefferson wrote the Declaration of the Independence because we just don’t know, none of us were in the room.

Absolute inanity.

I can only speak about record sales. Ever hear of Kelsea Ballerini? Her last album debuted #1 on the country charts. Also Black River Entertainment also holds publishing rights to 36 #1 chart songs.

Keeping things factual is not defending anyone. Certain people have a problem with accuracy when it doesn't feed their narrative.

The slapstick routine continued when Adams informed us that new senior advisor Jarmo Kekalainen will be based in Columbus and not Buffalo. He must have gotten the organization’s remote work manual from assistant GM Jason Karmanos, who somehow runs the Rochester Amerks from Pittsburgh.

That all great, but it doesn’t mean they’re making a profit. They may be, but it’s by no means a given - especially in that industry. You seemed certain so I thought you may have had some insight, but you were just speculating based on the popularity of some of their artists. And that’s a good thing obviously. I doubt it much matters when it comes to their sports franchises anyway.

I have no doubt working remotely can work. Heck, I work remotely. But you have an anxious fan base and you have to think about the messages you send. Not having Jarmo at the presser was a misstep. Kevyn's whole demeanor was unsettling.

Okay, you got me. It's totally possible that Black River Entertainment is a money loser. But based on the success of their lead artist, and the songs they own publishing for, the APPEARANCE is they are successful.

I have to mention, when our son lived in Nashville across the street from Vanderbilt the unit next door was Kelsea Ballerini’s. He kept saying “she’s a big deal!” but she just looked like one more girl in the hallway or at the pool to me. I had never heard of her before. My wife ran into her with her friend Tay Tay in the parking garage several times. That was only maybe 8-9 years ago? My how things have changed!

Mike Harringtons story in todays TBN is really depressing, the guy answered nobody and gave wise ass answers when he did. He never got a straight answer out of asking about Peterka

I did. Where?  You know what “needing a minute” means, right?

And you lose at every turn. I can’t even think of the last time you had a win. But I’m sure in your mind though you’re saying “I’d ***** me.”
