I don't know why but I think this is the year, weird strong feeling going on.

I don't know what's been going on with me since the draft but I get this weird, like small butterfly feelings in my stomach thinking about the upcoming season.  

This has never happened to me before.  Usually I lose interest in football after the Bills are out, gain it back right before draft and free agency....then think about other things until late July.  

 

But it's early May and I have the same exciting feeling the Saturday eve before the opener...which means it will take forever in my head for the season to get here.

I think they do it this year....I really do.

 

Any of you feeling weird like me right now?

 

And no, I'm not drunk.

Am I high?  Maybe.

I think it's because I have more faith in Josh Allen than EJ Manuel. 

 

I'm guaranteeing this will be bumped several times if I'm wrong.  But I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggone it, people like me.

I like on paper the changes they've made. They've added coaches that bring new schematic wrinkles to the table. They've added a legit CB to cover twitchy/speedy WRs. They've attempted to make the DL 10 players deep which has proven to be a successful strategy for overcoming the Chiefs. So I like the overall direction of the offseason. We just have to see if on paper translates to on the field. And nothing we do in the regular season will make me confident we can beat KC when it counts until I actually see it happen.

No offense, but lots of Bills fans had that same feeling before the 2022 season.  And lots of people had it late last year.

There are also Jets fans online sharing clips of Justin Fields in shorts, getting excited how he's going to turn it all around.

None of it means anything.

 

The Buffalo Bills are one of the Top 5 most talented team in the NFL (as they have been for the past 4-5 years), so there is plenty of reason to be optimistic.  But it's not going to be some magical sense of destiny.  It's going to be when these players and this coaching staff can finally execute in the biggest moments.

As good as it feels now we still have a bad gameday coach. Too bad we cant just draft one. But at least we make the playoffs. Could be worse
