so thay basically cements it that Josh will be on tomorrow to announce the Bills for a SNF game… is it a given that it’ll be the week 1 SNF match, though?

Probably.  The NFL is a machine when it comes to marketing where they get everyone hyped about a schedule where we already know our opponents.

Hoping whatever primetime games the bills get this season are spread out a bit. Those first 3 primetime games we had last year were tough for us early birds. If I remember right, it was 3 weeks in a row 😖

Weeks 2, 3, and 4. Week 1 against the Cards was 1:00 Sunday.

Rumor I heard from someone that would know is Bengals @ Bills as the week 1 SNF game. Getting them week 1 in primetime in a rocking Highmark Stadium is the best case scenario since historically Cincy has struggled the first two weeks.

And McDermott can hit them on D with some stuff they haven't seen from us yet.

If true I’m a bit surprised that they would put a division game in an international slot.

But if you're gonna do it, do it to LA hosting the Chiefs. LA won't care. Brazil gets to see the Kelce-Swifts. Los Angeles sounds cool to Brazil and they'll bite on the name alone.

Week 1 SNF  or Thanksgiving Night

+ Christmas Night

IMO that’s why Josh (NBC) & Dion (NFL release) will be guests

Shnowman is there for Christmas.  Josh is there for SNF.

The Chargers know they have no home field advantage anyway.

The Jets and Dolphins played in London in 2015. It was a Miami "home" game.

Just a guess but I think the Bills open up on the road this year. Last year they opened at home against the Cardinals. Next year is the first year at the new stadium. You know how the NFL likes to make a big deal about everything. I think they put the new stadium in the spotlight week 1 of the 2026 season. If the Bills don't win the Super Bowl and play the 1st Thursday night game, then they will get week 1 at home on SNF or MNF so the 1st game in the new stadium gets national exposure. I don't know if the league will have the Bills open at home 3 straight years which is why I think this year they open on the road.

Only reason I do not think it will happen is the Bills are most likely closing on the road week 18 if Xmas is the regular season finale. It is not completely unheard of although rare to open on the road AND close on the road, but my guess is they are home.
