I'm sitting here watching all these games today , guys like Pickens, AJ Brown, Xavier worthy, Devonta Smith, Tee Higgins

All making insane game changing plays. It really is eye opening in a disturbing way. Why on God's green Earth does Beane & McDermott not want this????

If Allen takes these guys to the super bowl, yes I'm saying it right now he's the greatest QB that's ever lived.

I couldn't even enjoy football today seeing all these massive plays wide receivers are making. It makes me feel sick 🤢

Even just watching Dallas as a roster look way better than ours makes me realize how bad beane has been the past number of years.

It's eye opening and it pisses me off

For all the money the Eagles have tied up on their offense (most expensive in the NFL by far), and all the big stars they have including great OLine play, they struggle way, way too much on a regular basis.

Their OC makes Joe Brady look like the best OC in NFL history in comparison.

And neither of them have done a damn thing to help this offense

Which sucks because we’ve already seen that movie 3 out of 4 of our last SBs

I know this sounds lame but I really really just wanted buffalo to play Philadelphia in the super bowl last year even if they would have destroyed us.

I wanted to experience the nostalgia of the two weeks leading up to the super bowl similar to the memories I had when I was a kid watching the bills go to the super bowl and all the pre-game hype for the two weeks before the big game

I also wanted to say "hey at least Allen got to play  in one ", similar to Marino

Go watch the Dallas highlights. Our perimeter talent at wr, cb, and pass rush isn't even close to Dallas.

Bosa & $$$ Rousseau, benford better start making plays starting vs Pittsburgh. Epenesa, etc

If they don't elevate their play on the pass rush or stop the run I don't know how we're supposed to compete for a title

Kincaid and maybe Shavers / Coleman developing is all I got for offense. Idk

We aren't. Anyone still thinking this year can end in a Super Bowl is just kidding themselves.

We are closer to missing the playoffs altogether.

If Jerry Jones had Josh Allen, he would’ve won a Superbowl already.

Honestly I believe that over half the teams in the league maybe every team outside the Browns and bengals would’ve won a SB already with Josh Allen. I despise McD and Beane but I blame Pegula even more because what the heck is he doing man. Does he not have anyone in his ear with any football sense at all telling him what a gift it is to have Josh and not to waste it with incompetence?

Notice how we seldom see many crossing routes or 8-10 yard out/slant routes? Timing routes, up and ins or simple 5 yard RB flares? Scheme is the problem. Routes take too long to develop and call for coverage lapses

When is Kincaid coming back?

I felt the same way watching the games today.  Even Jacksonville and Arizona have guys that get open downfield.

I am very confident that the Bengal's would have won a Super Bowl with Allen not least because he would have been available to play in a lot more games then Burrow has.

Probably but they’re pretty poorly run too. Maybe it would be only Cleveland that could botch it as bad as we have. Any NFC team would’ve gotten to the SB with him because he’d be the far and away best QB in that conference

Here's why they do what they do:

https://nfllines.com/nfl-2024-team-positional-spending-win-correlation/

It's a long article, but if you run the data on the correlation between the percentage of the cap spent on position groups and winning percentage, the order goes like this.

  • Quarterback & Offensive Line (0.288) TIE
  • Cornerback (0.171)
  • Interior Defensive Line (0.077)
  • Wide Receiver (0.064)
  • Edge (0.012)
  • Running Back (-0.048)
  • Tight End (-0.093)
  • Linebacker (-0.123)
  • Safety (-0.166)

I don't agree with this because the eye test tells me that elite WRs and EDGE players make game winning plays. But the data says to invest in QB and OL above all else, but CB and DT are also key to winning. That's what Beane has done and I think his smugness comes from the fact that he has the data on his side.

Thats data over 10 season avg. It likely changes overtime as the NFL cycles, but you wont see a change in the data for years. For instance, 5 years from now WR might move up the list or maybe Edge moves up the list. I doubt that list is the same 10 years from now.

They're so poorly run that they played in back to back AFC Championship games and made it to a Super Bowl.  The Bengals made the strategic decision to go all in on the offense.  The problem is that Burrow cant stay healthy.  Zack Taylor and this offense with a healthy Allen would have played in 2 Super Bows winning one at a minimum.

I’m not a believer in Zach Taylor or the ownership of the bengals to spend money to win consistently but you may be right with Allen they would’ve won one at least. Like you said they at least draft pieces around their once in a lifetime QB

I've lived down here in Cincy since the 1980's and Taylor is an odd one.  Overall I don't think he's a good coach but he does know offense.  If the Bengal's fire him, and I don't see them doing that, I would want the Bills to hire hm as OC in a heartbeat.

You're right about the Brown family as owners.  But the issue for the Bengals is that Burrow can't stay healthy and his injuries have compromised 4 seasons including this one.

Add Nacua and Adams to the game-changing players we don't have.

The frustrating thing is Adam's has been available the last 3 seasons as he's been on the Jets, Raiders and now the Rams. It all comes down to choices.

How come i watch some of these games and the week after we play a team that looks very solid against Buffalo looks like crap the very next week.  We’ve seen it several times this year.  Our coaching coordinators are subpar.

I think it could be argued that Beane is the worst GM in the NFL

The Jests, Raiders and a few other bottom feeder fans would like for their beers to be held…I mean sure, I’m as ticked as most other Bills fans about our weaknesses in building around Allen (injuries notwithstanding), but I also know that factually there are worse GMs out there who’ve picked higher than us routinely in the draft.

Choices and proper cap management so you can sign an Adams without sacrificing top draft picks.

Who does this sound like?!!! “During his head coaching tenure, Schottenheimer's coaching strategy became known as Martyball. It emphasized a strong running game, a passing game that limited turnovers, and an aggressive defense. A conservative style, it was criticized for its blandness and it prevented Schottenheimer from winning big games, because he consistently played not to lose.[3][63][64] While Schottenheimer's teams won eight division titles and made the playoffs 13 times in his 21 seasons, they never reached the Super Bowl. His three AFC Championship Game appearances all ended in defeat and after losing his third AFC Championship, Schottenheimer's final five playoff runs resulted in eliminations in the first game for his teams.” 🤔😂
