They didn't bring back Q who was a TE & did a lot of the dirty work in the offense when it comes to blocking, Cosell someone that knows a heck of a lot more about players than the Bills fans said he was the best blocking TE in the draft, and last Beane always follows his board and takes the best player available plus it was a position of need and more than likely cheaper than bringing in a FA plus bodes well for the future of the team and the run game . 

 

So what makes no sense ?? Just asking ...

Also, this team absolutely loved Lee Smith. This guy is basically a younger version of Smith. They will carve out a great role for him.

A 5th rd pick with a probable role and is active on game days is a slam dunk.  Is he Kelce?  No.  He can block his ass off and is a little more athletic than you think.  Decent RAS like 7 something better than I expected.  Strong case for TE3. Pairs well with Kincaid and Knox.

For all of the haters of this pick, the Bills can go really big with 6 OL and 2 TE sets.  While this set up is by default a seldom used formation it can give the Bills a unique set up.

The more I simmer on this selection, the more I want Beane fired. Are you kidding me with this hand size? 6th percentile for TEs at 9 1/8th…does he shop for women’s mittens? Might not have needed them at GT. I can get that but hold on he only benches 225 16 times…the worst of all FIVE participants at the combine. I thought this guy was touted as a blocker? Furtheore he’s an averaged sized Te and somehow only slightly faster than Keon Coleman. His last name isn’t even Williams.  For a fifth round pick, I was expecting someone with all pro, maybe HoF level measurables.
