YoloinOhio Posted Sunday at 01:08 AM Posted Sunday at 01:08 AM They replaced Mack Hollins with Josh Palmer and didn’t replace Amari cooper but he was also not on the field a lot of the season. It’s ok I guess. 1 1 Quote

You traded up twice for DTs. These softball questions from these reporters are a joke. Beane says I want to make it hard for someone to make the team on the D line, I want to get the best guys and make it competitive. ASK HIM “if what you said about d line competition is true, why don’t you ever do the same for the WR room? Do you think you’re giving Josh the best weapons to work with and choose from?…Just be honest and say, hey I’ve got a coach who loves the defense and we don’t care if Josh doesn’t have weapons because we’re going to bleed him dry until he can’t be Superman anymore. He’s so fake and he does that stupid face where you know he’s lying too. I still like him as our GM but I just hate the schtick after years of the same ol results with no real help for Josh Edited Sunday at 02:13 AM by NeverOutNick Quote

If you give him a WR each year he will elevate them - look at Shakir. It’s the not taking a chance that hurts. And it’s because we have had to subsidize the defense. Since Josh was drafted in 2018, we have drafted 4 DTs, 4 DEs, 3 LBS, and 2 corners in the first three rounds of the draft. We have drafted 1 WR in that timeframe (2 if you include Diggs). And yet because our defense was bad last year we had to give EVERY asset to a unit that already has gotten so much. This comes down to Beane not drafting great and McDermott not getting everything he could from what he has been given 1 2 Quote

Boogie Basham immediately came to mind where he's a tweener type that isn't a system fit for the Bills no matter what their grade on him is. Quote

Looking back at other horrid drafts, if I thought that most of them were good I would look rather foolish. We have an all time great quarterback and did little to nothing to help him. In round one we drafted another revolving door cornerback, and didn't stop there. I am pretty sure that even those who somehow are happy with this draft will admit that the NFL is now an offense oriented league. The days of the "Steel Curtain" and the "Fearsome Foursome" are long gone. Like you, I hope for the best and will always support the Bills. That said, I have lived through some very dumb defense oriented drafts, and they didn't work even before the rule changes that favor offenses. Either way.....GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
