Congrats to the Panthers on a well deserved Stanley Cup win, but their celebration appears to be orders of magnitude smaller than the crowd that gathers at the same venue for every Bills away game in Miami.  I saw a report that the Bandits game aired on CW had more local viewers in Buffalo than the Panthers cup finals had in Miami.  Its criminal that we do not have a competent hockey team in such a rabid market.

We are 8 days away from crushing some kids dream of playing in the Cup finals.

Based on recent history, that kid is 5 years and 8 days away from being traded and playing in the Cup finals.

sigh... "

The Rangers and Islanders could both use a speedy winger like Peterka to improve their rosters as they try to climb up the Eastern Conference.

And the Sabres? Well, they are stuck in an eternal rebuild, and trading away Peterka would just be the latest chapter in that depressing story."

I think the Sabres are providing a valuable service to these young players. Once they've played in Buffalo and been traded, they're inspired to never get stuck in that situation again.

Playoff Drought: Currently hold the NHL record for the longest active playoff drought at 14 seasons. This is tied with the New York Jets (NFL) for the longest current drought in major professional sports.

Why are there even stories out there that the Sabres are going to trade JJ Peterka? Has it been 5 years already?

I think he wants out bad.  I also suspect that his agent/camp keeps floating balloons out there creating a buzz and a market out of thin air.  It happened at the deadline too.

Yes the rumor out there is Peterka wants out but the Sabres really don't want to part with him unless the trade package is an excellent return

After the Whistle reported today that hes not demanding a trade.  He wants first line minutes and to be on PP #1 and he doesnt want to be just another guy on a new team.  Sounds like hes sticking around but he's pissed that the team is a dumpster fire and he is a lot more outspoken than the quiet kid we drafted.

About damn time!

Class of 25 ...  The Hockey Hall of Fame announced its eight-member Class of 2025, which includes first-year eligible players Zdeno Chara, Joe Thornton, Duncan Keith, and the end of a lengthy wait for former NHL star Alexander Mogilny. They will be joined by gold medal-winning women's players Jennifer Botterill of Canada and Brianna Decker of the United States.

Was that Adams’ worst press conference ever? He’s had some doozeys, but that was next level.

I didn't see it but read about it in TBN.  He basically said less than nothing.

Adams is no good.  He sounds like a loser when he speaks.  “I tried hard but no one wanted to trade with me” “we are trading from a weak position”  - and other pathetic platitudes.  Compare him to Beane.  Beane is confident, clear, and strong.  The two GMs are polar opposites.  Listen to tone, watch body language.  It’s laughable how superior Beane is.

Im not sure I’ve ever heard Adams say anything, besides Nothing (and excuses).

The bolded is so true and you nailed it.  Don't give me crap answers about trades, other GM's see him as a wimp they can take advantage of
