If Mccargo was a 3rd rd pick his career would be perceived different. 6 year NFL career but didn't meet his potential. Sounds like numerous 3rd rd picks. Carter is a multiple year captain and leader type. McCargo was quiet and laid back. They’re built similarly. McCargo was a highly rated prospect that never put it together. Yep, even when Franklin and Baker are not doing anything in the league, some other dude drafted behind him will be more impactful and the fans will be screaming they knew WR was the right choice. He started 1 game in his terrible 6 yr career. Carter is a 3rd round rotational DT who could very well take over DQ's spot when he's gone. He's got a great personality that could easily translate to a very good player. I don’t see any comparison to McCargo. .....and for the record I wanted Franklin too but apparently Brandon had no intention of ever double dipping this draft. Carter will be fine. McCargo was borderline lazy and a follower, not very bright. Carter is the polar opposite. A leader (team captain), articulate, hard working. Carter is, imo, going to end up being a fan favorit!
