Agriculture, construction, hotels and restaurants, etc all use them by the hundreds of thousands. Law and order politicians don’t want to crack down on businesses employing illegals. Dems think they are getting future voters. If both parties felt it was a critical problem to solve, they would have compromised and passed legislation on it years ago. Politics has always been more important than solutions. Migrants see economic opportunity so they come.

Under Trump only 2M illegals came in.  Under Joke it's 8M in 3 years.  That's over a 5-fold difference.  And the markedly increased number of illegals is causing major problems in sanctuary cities, from strained budgets to crime.  Which is why the topic is now #1 for most people and why the Dems are scrambling to get something done and pin it on the Repubs, after 3 years of laughably claiming there's no crisis.

 

And you should know that it takes 60 votes in the Senate to pass a law.  Which side do you think is more responsible for preventing passage?

Functioning parties accomplish their legislative goals when, for whatever reason, the opposition and or they, compromise.  Not a single bill passed by congress is perfect. This is called democracy. 
 

On the border issue, republicans have effectively put dems in a bind as they are flooding the cities with migrants. The goal of this was to force dems to compromise to get legislation passed. It worked. Biden caved on traditional Dem negotiating issues and was willing to sign a landmark bill to help resolve this issue. Now instead of passing this bill that gave Republicans just about everything, the party decides they can’t do it because Donnie says no. They would rather scream about it for political grandstanding than get something accomplished. Maybe they just all figure when Trump gets back in, the dictator Donnie will solve the problem unilaterally and get them 100% of whatever they/he wants. They are a joke of a party.

There is no need for compromise on the border. We cannot handle more people entering per year under Joke as entered in total under Trump. To the point where cities are “in a bind” with relatively few illegals being sent there because Texas shouldn’t have to financially support them all. 
 

The Dems created this mess and lied about it being a crisis until the polling data showed illegal immigration is the #1 topic, because of the crime and diversion of funds, housing and support to them over American citizens, especially POC.

House Republicans have been sounding the alarm about the catastrophic effects of President Biden's open border policies since he began his term. Last year, I sent a letter to the President to demand he take immediate executive action.  He has thus far ignored my demands, and the pleas from big city mayors, border state governors, and the American people.

 

Now, in an election year, after the president has surrendered the border to cartels and smugglers, after tens of thousands of Americans have tragically lost their lives due to fentanyl poisoning, after countless unaccompanied minors and young people have been subjected to human trafficking, and after millions of illegal aliens have been scattered by the Biden administration throughout our country - the President suddenly seems interested in trying to make a change using the legal authority that he claimed until recently didn't exist.

 

Americans have lost faith in this President and won't be fooled by election year gimmicks that don't actually secure the border.  Nor will they forget that the President created this catastrophe and, until now, has refused to use his executive power to fix it.

 

These reports also underscore just how brazenly and intentionally President Biden misled the public when he claimed he had done everything in his power to secure the border. Specifically, the President's alleged desire to invoke Section 212(f) of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which the White House dismissed using for months, is particularly telling.

 

 

If these reports are true and the President intends to take action, he can show he's serious by changing more than asylum policy. He should begin by reinstituting the "Remain in Mexico" policy and ending his administration's abuse of the parole system, along with other critical reforms.
