stevestojan Posted August 22 Posted August 22 I’m convinced Cracker Barrell is - like every rug store in the country - a money laundering front. Has anyone ever gone into, or seen anyone else go into, either one of those establishments? Oh, and the faux outrage on this one is - like all the rest - silly and weak. ❄️

I like going there on occasion. Food can be decent but not always and it’s a bit on the fun side. I guess that’s why they’ve got north of 650 outlets. What do you buy yourself by sh*tting on it? Wacka Posted August 22 Posted August 22 The only ones anywhere near WNY are in Erie,PA, Henrietta, and on Transit by the Depew exit (Exit 49).

Also not sh.itting on people who buy fancy rugs - I’ve just never seen anyone in one of those stores; and certainly no one leaving with a huge rug. The real estate cost in some cities required at least a daily purchase and I don’t see it. But I’m digressing; I used to love a restaurant called Ponderosa when I was younger. Certainly not high end cuisine. Not sure why you instantly got defensive; that was a bit odd to be honest. I was literally saying I’ve never met anyone who’s gone to one. But since you engaged, Let me ask you: will you never go again because the sign no longer has an old man on it? Edited August 22 by stevestojan

reddogblitz Posted August 22 Posted August 22 I have eaten at Cracker Barrel a few times. It's been a while since they don't habe them in my state. I wonder of they're gonna keep the nick nack stores in there. Maybe more progressive nick nacks? The fact that David Hogg doesn't like it Kindof blows a hole in the whole it's only old wing nuts that are against the new look theory.

That doesn’t mean I won’t turn my back on a company if they offend me sufficiently. When Gillette came out with their “men, you need to do better” campaign, I switched to Schick. Not interested in being lectured to by a giant corporation.

When Gillette came out with their “men, you need to do better” campaign, I switched to Schick. Not interested in being lectured to by a giant corporation. Little things like toothpaste and razors are simple to modify. Just changed brands, then continued to buy the new product out of habit. While I don't check everything I buy, the things I do alter satisfy my monkey-brain's impulsive insistence to respond to these companies, so I don't think on it again. It was easier to switch away from Costco and Target than I expected. The competition is literally across the street. While the competition still have their issues, they don't stick in the mind currently. 1
