Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour

What is undeniable is that Britt and her friends are on some bizarre "husband material" shaming crusade via social media.  Whatever Josh did to precipitate it, does he really want to marry any woman who handles their relationship problems this way?

It's completely juvenile and bizarre IMO.  Unless there's actually some revealing truth to what happened, any rush to judgment should focus on what we can see and know.  And that's one sided to this point.

The multiple "husband" references are why I think the cause of the breakup might be that she wanted to get married, and may even have tried what Kelly Hall Stafford  stated she did when she had Britt on her show, and given Josh an ultimatum "engagement/set a date or Done".

I think her friends are trying to support her by implying she won't have any trouble finding a guy who wants to marry her, and focus on her and spoil her in a way a football- and golf- obsessed NFL QB probably didn't.

And maybe she'll find such a guy pronto, and maybe it will work out for her.

But like I said elsewhere - if it was my daughter who just ended or saw the end of a 7 year relationship where she's been living a lavish lifestyle for the last 6 years, apparently on someone else's dime - I would want her to take a breath and ground herself.  Get a job, focus on building the business she started, go on a mission trip, pursue an advanced degree, anything - support herself and spend some time finding out who she is when she lives independently.

So I find it cringe-y myself.

I am sure there are plenty of simps that would give their left nut to be with her and bend over backwards and do anything she wants.

Unfortunately the thrill of that will only last so long and once she loses respect for the guy the marriage won't last long.

Plus, unless you have a porn star sized schlong she is going to consider you small based on what we have seen bouncing around in Allen's shorts on the vid of him throwing in rookie camp.

Probably want to avoid, you are in a no win situation, but there is a good chance at being the rebound due for a few months...

She is acting like Allen can't find 50 women as hot or hotter than her throwing themselves at him on the daily...Allen likely gave her a reality check.

She is?  If so she's seriously deluding herself.

Any update on this story? I haven’t seen or heard a thing about it in weeks. JA appears to be out in public more often than a politician after a natural disaster….he turns up everywhere, it seems. Does any media person (sports or other) have the cajones to dare ask him about it, or is it another Kim Pegula situation? Also, I have never watched or listened to these things, but doesn’t he do one or more weekly podcasts with sports talk guys? Have they not asked him about it?

You're kidding, right?

Kidding, or trolling

No, not kidding.

Everybody’s saying JA is the biggest sports figure, and by proxy, the biggest “celebrity”, that Buffalo has ever had. Ssssoooo, celebrities are always “in the spot light”, or, if you will, “under the microscope.” Everyone knows that the latter is “the price of fame”, and it has been that way FOREVER. Why would it be any different with JA? People…well, OK, rabid JA fans…desire to know EVERYTHING about him and his life. I’m quite certain that many fans, especially female Bills fans, would like to know if the rumors of him cheating on his longtime SO, and knocking up another woman, are true. Why doesn’t he just come clean and “put the rumors to rest?”

And if anybody is going to say “it’s none of you business”, please reread the paragraph immediately above. 😉

Well, first of all, weekly podcasts with a media figure are "feel good" pieces.  No athlete is going to do them with a guy who asks them hard-hitting questions.  If you listen to Josh Allen's segment on Kyle Brandt's basement, it's often uncomfortably fawning on the part of Brandt.  Pretty sure the athlete or his PR team submit lists of questions or topics that are off-limits.  The sports talk guy doesn't "play ball"?  Neither will the athlete; these are extra media appearances beyond what the NFL requires.  So weekly podcasts with sports talk guys are NOT going to go there.   Catch Pat McAfee asking Aaron Rodgers uncomfortable questions.  Doesn't happen.

Second, being a public figure does not mean the public is entitled to know every aspect of the guy's life.  The Bills, under McDermott, seem to be doing an excellent job of training their players to handle the media.  Consider how Josh Allen neatly side-stepped questions about his personal health choices or his grandmother's cause of death.  Josh just said "I'm going to keep that in-house" and that was that.  Jordan Poyer same - led a press conference with a statement that he wasn't going to take questions on the "panini" and just responded to any attempts with "do you have any football questions?  I'm here to answer any of your football questions".

If reporters want to know about stuff like that, they can do what reporters used to do when looking for a story - hit the streets and look for sources.  All the stuff that's supposed to have happened, must be someone who actually saw or heard something with their own little eyeballs.  And Josh speaking on the topic would NOT put rumors to rest, people who want to believe gossip would just say he's not telling the truth or he's covering stuff up.

I think it was pretty clear from Brittany's friend's "now accepting husband applications" post at their Fresno Derby celebration, and also from Josh's solo appearance at the Derby, that they're split up.

Because it's not a story

Breaking up w a girlfriend is barely news. Premarital sex is not a crime. Just relax

LMAO. Did you even read the post that you're quoting here? He is a national "celebrity." Every move he makes is documented, photographed, and written about, and not just by sports outlets. People want to know everything about him....that's just the reality of him being a celebrity.

And IF true, again, cheating on a longtime girlfriend certainly is news many Bills fans are interested in. Obviously loyalty is a character trait many people value. If he got someone pregnant, that makes it much worse, as it obviously would show a real lack of intelligence on his part (he can afford rubbers, ya know?). Like I said earlier, he should make a statement about it.

And I never said anything about pre-marital sex, so I don’t know why you even brought that up.

I have little interest in the sex lives of professional football players

But I apologize if I made light of a topic about which you clearly care very deeply.

You may be right about JA's "people" dictating what questions are "allowed to be asked", and that's a shame. But for anyone to say that they don't talk about personal stuff, or he has his right to keep his personal life "private", is disingenuous, and you know it. So no one ever asks him about love of golf, or his golf game, or his F1 fandom? LOL The latter IS his personal life, as it's outside of football, and they/he DO talk about that stuff.

So IMHO it's hypocritical to talk about some personal stuff, but not other personal stuff. And of course a break up with a longtime girlfriend will certainly have a greater impact on his life...on his mental state particularly...more than whether or not he attended the Masters. So of course it's a "pertinent" personal topic that people are interested in, and would like him to discuss.

Finally, just breaking up with a girl is not that earth shattering (although again, since he is a high profile, well known athlete, it's way different for him than your average Joe)....but, IF the rumors are true, then it sheds a light on a character flaw which knocks down his "wholesome farm boy" image, a LOT. So yeah, one can surmise exactly WHY he may want to totally ignore it, and not talk about it.

I bet his next relationship relationship will be kept Down Low. Alllll this scrutiny reads a bit much for me personally

You know he has a glut of choices on whom to date.

I hope he finds someone he loves as much as the Bills fan community loves HIM.

This thread is evidence of all of our interest. His being a football Super Bowl MVP is my focus for #17 just sayin'

His GF choices I'm no so worried about.  I bet Dawson Knox could hook him up with a quality beautiful girl EASILY

Or maybe he meets someone in WNY.💕

The phrase I used was "hard hitting questions", not "personal stuff".  I pointed out that you don't catch Pat McAfee asking Aaron Rodgers uncomfortable questions.

"Yo!  Why did you buy a $28 million dollar estate with Danica Patrick only to ditch her 6 months later for a woman a decade younger who plays teenagers professionally? Were you cheating on Patrick with Woodley?

Doesn't happen.

Do you understand the difference between a hard hitting or uncomfortable question and a personal question?

Because the examples you give - love of golf, golf game, F1 fandom - are personal, but they're not hard-hitting.

Until you make clear that you understand the distinction, calling it "disingenuous" has little meaning to me.

Oh, bull####.  I bet there's stuff in your family(if not yourself) which is personal, but comfortable to share or discuss in public - what sports you like and why, what books you like and why, movies, video games - and also stuff you would not care to discuss - without knowing you, can't make an educated guess at what specifically, but abstractly: the ancestry DNA test showing actual paternity of  sister's second child, stepfather's DUI arrest, BIL's psychiatric diagnosis, the reasons for being fired from one's second job would all be potential examples affecting some people.

But, if you think it's hypocritical to be happy to talk about your opinion of various books or movies, your golf game, your taste in clothes - but NOT about a potentially emotionally wrenching end to a 7 year relationship, rumors painting you as a bit of a cad, or your personal health decisions re: a vaccination that became politically wrought - be my guest.

Omg what a terrible take.   Family and GF questions being off limits is entirely reasonable.   If it ain't business related it's none of your business.   Nothing for Allen to be "ashamed" to refuse to indulge.

He'll be dating 25 year olds for the next 15 years so maybe we get lucky and he waits until late-in or after his career to get married and start a family.

IF he cheated on his longtime GF, and knocked up some chick during a one night stand, should he be proud of that?

Also, loads of athletes talk about their wives/girlfriends and family virtually ALL the time. What cave do you live in?
