We have a Super Bowl trophy (or two) if Andy Reid was our head coach

The challenge for these fans has become that to keep Allen on the imaginary pedestal, they now have to tear down the rest of the team around him in order to rationalize and excuse.

Feel free to point to any play that Mahomes made last night that Allen couldn’t. We are all waiting.

Coming back with Frazier and Dorsey is mistake. I know it was only Dorsey's first year but watching KC in the red zone run plays where they are wide open for easy TD's and then remembering how the Bills struggle. Frazier's defense has been figured out. Top offenses with top QB's just kill them almost every time.

Bingo!

Very unlikely Dorsey, Frazier, and McD are the winning combination to propel the Bills to a Super Bowl win.

Mahomes is better than Allen. He also has the better coaching staff and OL. Allen wasn't as good this year as he was in the past. He had to many turnovers this past season. Maybe going from Daboll to Dorsey played a part in that. Look at what Daniel Jones turned into this year. With that said Allen is one of the elite QB's in the game. But Beane has to help him. Build a better OL and find a legit #2 WR to go opposite Diggs. I hope (although I doubt it will happen) the Bills move on from Frazier and hopefully Dorsey improves in year 2.

The chasm is consistency of accuracy, composure, and execution.

I am not sure I'd describe it as a chasm. But that is where the gap was this year. Indeed you want a play where the Bills schemed a receiver open in a key spot in the redzone for a walk in touchdown..... Isaiah at the end in Miami springs to mind. And Josh missed him.

I am not putting the Bills failure in 2022 on Josh to be clear. I think it starts up front. But he didn't execute the routine plays as consistently as Mahomes this past season. He can make every play in the book Josh, it is that consistency in making the routine play look routine that he needs to do better in 2023. And the Bills need to help him with that in playcalling and protection.

They trade for Toney on a rookie contract for multiple years.

We trade for Hines on a bloated RB contract.

They worked Toney into a legit contributor role by the playoffs .. and that’s with Toney missing time.

We relegated Hines to KR/PR and a package of 4 plays that never worked.

Pretty much sums up how Reid and Veach build their team compared to Beane and McDermott.

They also moved a superstar for assets to accelerate their roster reload.  Imagine my surprise when we re-sign Edmunds to a massive contract and then let Oliver walk for nothing next year.

Trading for Heinz wasn’t as bad as not figuring out how to use him.

Just to point out, Josh had only one more turnover this year compared to 2021 (19 to 18).

The Chiefs scored two TDs and got their crucial holding penalty at the end courtesy of 3 well designed plays where the receiver faked coming in towards the sideline and then reversed and went back out. Hardly a gigantic bit of strategy concocted by a guru but so effective. That whole element of trickery was missing from the Bills this year after Dabol left. Dorsey is way too vanilla.

Andy Reid is 64

McDermott is 48

Give him 16 years and I'm confident he will have two.  Reid got his first at 60 after he was a HC for 19 years.  All of you need to calm down about these comparisons.  McDermott needs to be this team's coach.  There is no better coach for this team right now.  McDermott was a playoff coach his first year here without Josh Allen ending a 17 year drought.  Funny how most don't remember that.  Let's stop with trying to run our coaches out of town.  This team and coaching staff will win it all soon.

How long are we going to have to live with he ended a 17 year drought? We get it, but what has he done since then, how many of Allen’s good years do we have to waste till he gets his ***** together? He has shown no capability of improving beyond just being good enough to be in the playoffs but unable to recognize the reasons he is failing. Last night showed what good coaching can accomplish. The biggest thing McDermott is know for is calling time out at the wrong time🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Yeah, we won our week 5 Super Bowl,  they got the 1 seed and won the real Super Bowl.

Hell yeah brother!

By the same year McDermott is in his head coaching career, Andy Reid’s had already head coached a Super Bowl.

Why does this matter?  Does that mean more or does him taking 23 years to finally win it mean more?

If Sean McDermott was 1-4 in Conference Championship games and that Super Bowl appearance was a loss....would you have wanted to keep McDermott?  This is what Reid did in Philly.

Two years in a row we fell apart after the Chiefs game. That’s coaching. But you are trying to paint Allen in a bad light and Mahomes as infallible. The clear difference is the oline. Put Allen on the chiefs last night and they still win, maybe by even more. Put the bills against the Eagles last night with Mahomes and his ankle doesn’t survive the first quarter.

I was just replying to someone saying Reid was ran out of town. My comment was essentially “that may be so but he had more success than McD has had so far when they ran him out of town”.

Yeah, they definitely "win by more" with Allen under center.  The Eagles, that is.

And there are probably some games you can point to and make that argument. But last night wasn’t one of them.

He entered the 4th quarter with 140 yards. He had high throws and low throws (remember the Kelce shoe string catch last night?). And the TD’s were to wide open players that Case Keenum could have completed.

In the divisional round, Chad Henne led a 99 yard TD drive with the Chiefs offense. Just a few weeks ago. Reid is a ton of who Mahomes is. That doesn’t mean Mahomes isn’t great. But put Allen in KC and he has the same rings.

Dude… Mahomes was right behind Allen in INT’s this year, and had one of the worst INT’s i’ve ever seen just a month or so ago.
