Maybe your location setting is turned off for the app?

Not on app, this is on my television through Spectrum cable.

I've been trying to "chat" with customer service for 15 minutes and one of the idiots told me I don't have nfl network on my lineup. That's good to know because I watch it almost every day.

The computer that "runs" customer service got a ton of suggestions that you would see on a porn movie.  The last thing they said was have a nice day.

Are you experiencing the same thing? Spectrum cable? In my area?

Just focus on that last part and you should be fine!     :)

It’s this kind of stuff that makes me just pay for the Sunday Ticket rather than call and grovel for discounts or add-ons. It’s a natural barrier of frustration.

No it's the NFLN alright. They show old A Football Life shows the whole time a game is on. Yea either Spectrum is screwing up or the network is. Somehow because they blacked out the two bills broadcasts the last two weeks it's as if they just kept on the blacked out shows for EVERY preseason game.

Do you get the replays that they show all through the week of games already played, or are they blacking them out too?

Since the NFL Network usually shows other games when the blackout a game it sounds like it's your local Spectrum provider.  Here's a guess: Your local Spectrum franchisee found out that NFL Network is charging an addition fee because they are showing all these preseason games & opted out of the games for a lower fee.

It would be nice to actually talk to a real person. All I know is that they definitely don't lower my cable bills.

Yeah. I also live in Elmira/ Corning area. Wonderful Spectrum cable.

Oh great, well thanks for calling,  I hope you get to the bottom of this.  You have more patience than me, I can't stand dealing with the people on the customer service lines for most companies now, the worst!

So that's a thing? They had the option of not showing the games? I know nothing about that, but that would make sense. I've never heard of that.

I recently spent 7.5 hours chatting with Spectrum in an effort to receive credit for 2 phones that we traded.

The 1st 7 hours pushed my bp up pretty high, then I remembered an actual bullet we all have available:

Small Claims Court

I said those 3 magic words and I had two Supervisors unscrewing their mess within 5 minutes.

Resolved in an addition 30 minutes.

Stories like this makes me glad I don't have Spectrum anymore. 4 years ago they sold me on the idea of switching & saving $50 a month for basically the same things I had with Verizon.  Within 2 years my bill went up by about $100/month and they took away EPIX and most importantly the NFL Redzone channel. I could get them back for more $ if I wanted and make my inflated bill even higher.  It was during the height of the pandemic & Verizon wasn't coming into houses, so I had to wait.  By September 2020 Verizon was back to coming into homes & I switched back to Verizon for about what I was paying when I had switched 2 years before.  I got EPIX and the NFL Redzone back and a better DVR with more capacity & all through the house instead of 1 room that Spectrum had.  In 2 years my bill has gone up less than $10/month.  I'll never use Spectrum again.

Unfortunately in our area, it's either Spectrum or Empire cable (which doesn't carry MSG network). Not much of a choice.

I don't even have the choice of Empire yet, not on my street yet. Still on hold?

Hi, is anyone else experiencing this and know why? Every single game thus far has been blacked out. I understand the Bills game being blacked out by why would the others?? I live I'm the Southern Tier of NY, Elmira-Corning area.

You need to post on the506.com (the NFL broadcasting forum) to get to the bottom of this. They would know. They have migrated their discussions to a discord. They will have a definite answer for you.

Regarding the broadcast, what happened to me at game time (Preseason game #2, Bills - Broncos) here where I’m at in Hawaii is beyond comprehension.

I put the tv on in my bedroom, changed the channel to NFL network (Channel 203 here in Hawaii) and the the broadcast banners / and announcers at the time (Steve Mariucci) consistently said coming up next, Bills v. Broncos.  Then come game time, they broadcast, “Emmitt Smith, a Football Life.”  So no Bills game for me.

Then,

My son went to the living room tv, just 25 feet away, in the same house, turned it on, was looking to see what else is on, he went by Channel 203, Bills v. Broncos were playing.

So to summarize, I had 2 different programs, on 2 different tv’s, in the same house, on the same channel.

Can anyone speculate what caused that ?

Holy cow that seems impossible! Was this cable,  satellite? Streaming maybe on one TV? I have no idea, not that I'm an expert. That's why I posted, hoping to figure out my question.

I have found Corning-Elmira to be a 'sour spot' (as opposed to sweet spot) relative to the NFL and NHL considering it part of the Buffalo 'home game' region but in fact the local channels or cable services (for hockey) don't always carry the Bills or Sabres. So in that case, like you are experiencing, NFL network blocks you out but the local channel doesn't carry it. It sucks.
