A few plays yes.

But 0 Sacks and a lot of time in the pocket for the majority of the time in my opinion

Should we start with 0 sacks?

Or 1 sack if you really wanna consider star pushing Heneicki out of bounds for a half yard loss

They were more worried about Heineke running than throwing, so played accordingly.

Im honestly don’t know how you missed Heinicke under duress all day.  He was running around like crazy because of the pressure.

It's like he's equating being under pressure to being sacked.

He was either under pressure or he wasn't. He was.

This is not a subjective subject.

He had a rushing touchdown and a few descent scrambles.

actually It really is and it's  a matter of opinion Lol.

what you can't argue is facts and the fact is they didn't get a legit sack.

I don't think he was pressured much at all.

Some plays? Ya for sure.

But not consistently.

I thought he spent a significant portion of the day off his spot because of interior pressure

I appreciate your response.

I didn't see it that way so we'll have to agree to disagree.

Some plays for sure but not consistently

I disagree.

0 sacks at the end of the day.

And I am not even trying to be negative here.

Milano and the secondary were outstanding.

I just don't think the D line got any consistent pressure

You disagree that Heinecke made some great athletic plays to escape pressure and avoid being sacked? You disagree that the D line forced him into hurried passes and a poor decisions at times?

Your and I watched different football games I guess.

Some plays, absolutely.

But not consistently at all.

And 0 sacks to top it off. That's a fact you can't argue. (Not counting the half a loss push out of bounds by star)

So, the ONLY indicator of a D line having an effective game is sacks. Got it. And this conversation is over.

Nope. I didn't say that.

But it's definitely a metric.

How can you say sacks don't matter in terms of judging pass rush?..

FFS, I didn’t say sacks don’t matter. I said other things matter as well. If you can’t appreciate the difference, what can I say.

So you the you believe AJ Epenesa didn’t play well against the Dolphins last week?

He played amazing. And had 0 sacks.

Did you notice the bills had 6 sacks last week and 0 today though?

Pass rush is about a unit. Not about  an individual player.

Thank you for proving my point

Well 0 sacks is a fact which is a big metric.

And in my opinion there were some pressures but not consistently

Dude, holy crap.

This contradicts your whole point.

You are saying if there’s no sacks, they weren’t good.

So if we use your philosophy, the Bills DL played great but AJ didn’t because he didn’t have any sacks against Miami.

Are you really choosing to die on this hill? A hill that disregards EVERY other aspect of D line play? Good luck with that astute display of football knowledge. It’s been fun.

Gotta have Beasley in there somewhere. He was huge today.

Yep. Beasley was a real “shot in the arm” for the offense today.

The D line was fine. It didn't generate sacks but the pressure was there. Plus, Hienke and that offense is based on quick drops and throws.

The Bucs defense wasn’t that good in the Super Bowl.  They only got 3 sacks.

AJ didn't get any sacks but he caused other sacks because :

1. He was dominant and forced pressure to other lanes.

2. The d line got sacks because they were getting pressure from all angles.

what's confusing here?

Williams should get a game ball for having Chase Young 1 on 1 all game and keeping him overall in check.  He got close a few times, but overall a great job

Funny how the OLine does it’s thing, and all of a sudden Josh looks like Josh again. What a coincidence!
