She passed away in 2004 but she was the mastermind of "The Real World" and "The Simple Life" which gave wannabe celebrities and fame seekers the idea they could actually monetize their lousy personalities. In many respects, she made low-budget soap operas with the talent that used to populate Jenny Jones, Rikki Lake, Sally Jessie, Jerry Springer and Carnie!
