Meanwhile China is really ratcheting up hostilities in the South China Sea, Taiwan is growing more concerned invasion plans are in the works, they made an interesting move sort of ‘deputizing’ hundreds of fishing vessels that have anchored off of the coast of Taiwan. There’s been hardly any major territorial shifts over the last century. The only significant one was the breakup of the Soviet Union and that happened without any substantial conflict or bloodshed. Yes, there’ve been some small border squabbles but that’s about it. As much as nobody likes to admit it, the nuclear threat has put an end to the vast majority of it. According to the Politico article, Davis is a career foreign service officer, having worked for 18 years in the State Department with previous assignments in Mexico, Turkey, and Columbia. And Putin main political rival was allowed out of jail and sent to a hospital for treatment so that Putin could not slowly murder him. Protests are raging across Russia calling for the end for his kleptocratic rule.
