Taxes are a cost of doing viruses.  When your taxes go up so does your cost so they pass it down to their customers in the form of higher prices.  Not complicated.

My Dad used to say businesses should pay no taxes cuz it just gets passed down to consumers (with a little profit) anyway.

Look, all you need to know is Medtronic is domiciled in Dublin, as hundreds and thousands of other major US companies are (outside the US)...

Democratic policies just don't actually work in the real world, or Medtronic and all the others wouldn't be paying taxes to Ireland.

So tell us more about GQP policies - where do they work?

100%

It is an indisputable fact that Ireland is a better place to start, own, operate and grow a multinational corporation. their government simply steals less of their money than ours does.

When faced with inconvenient facts the altlefttweet bot gets super confused.

Your Dad was right. I own a business/corporation. Whatever money we don't spend on the cost of running the business is... profit.  That profit gets distributed to the Partners (shareholders), and our employees...and they pay taxes on it!  I'm not sure where people think the money goes, but it's not like a business can put it in a hole in the backyard.

My Dad was right about a lot of things.  Like when he used to tell us in the 70s - early 90s that swing dancing would come back.  We laughed and said that stuff is NEVER coming back. Then he died in 1995 and I'll be doggone within 5-10 years it was back.

A vast majority of his content is not relational.  You'll get used to it.

Good lord, just declare war on us and get it over with.

So the gas tax is "not working" what makes you think a mileage tax will?  How will this be monitored?  Will we have to track our mileage from 1/1-12/31?  How will this be audited.  So many questions Pedro.

And tell us how the Trump tax plan encouraged or discouraged offshoring...

It lowered the US corporate tax rate to dis-incent tax inversion, which is when you move your headquarters or ops offshore to effectively arbitrage the tax rates.  If it costs $100 to be domiciled in the US, and $50 to be domiciled in Ireland, business will move to Ireland.

You will be forced to install tracking equipment which will send data to the government.  Don't pay your tax then the government will not allow you to run your vehicle.  It's already happening with off road equipment where if you are late on payment the company can remotely disable your machine from running.  The government is just taking it the next step.
