Big Tech/Social Media Censorship. Musk: Blackmailing Advertisers Can ***** Off.

Recommended Posts

This was all easy to see when Zuckerberg told Rogan that the FBI warned them prior to the election to be on the lookout for "Russian disinformation"

Laptop story is then published by the NY Post.

IC community signs their BS laptop is Russian disinformation letter.

To big tech this confirms what FBI had warned them about.

Therefore they are given excuse to censor that deflects blame to unaccountable IC community.

In. Plain. Sight.

If you we at Twitter, Google, or perhaps Facebook and were genuinely interested in supporting the truth, what would you have done when the NY Post story hit the wire given previous FBI warnings of misinformation?  Automatically suppress the story based on some vague warning or do some leg work and investigation the story?

Would picking up the phone and contacting the editors and reporters at the Post have been a good idea?  Meet with them to review their evidence, due diligence, and sources?  Then draw your own conclusions about the legitimacy and accuracy of the story before deciding if its genuine or false.  That's something real media does on occasion.  Employing some logical and critical thinking skills along with skepticism and understanding of motivations.  Something we need more of in this country.

Instead, they blindly accept a directive from the government to suppress anything that comes across your desk they for sake of simplicity "don't like".  This fellow Jim Baker at Twitter for all intents and purposes still worked for the FBI executing party and agency policy by proxy.  Our reality is there are lots of "Jim Baker's" embedded in social and MS media everywhere, left or right, liberal or conservative.  Such as all these former "intelligence" officials employed by the TV networks.  Professional liars still lying.

And morons will STILL try to claim with a straight face that J6 was worse than Pearl Harbor, the Civil War or 9/11.

I'm grateful for morons like this as it creates a simple litmus test to identify people not to be taken seriously and ignored.

See @BillStime @Tiberius et al.

Typical DR - can’t handle ANYONE getting in the way of his keepers narratives.

Pathetic simp.

And yet….the GOP is now in control of the House of Representatives. So there’s that.

Barely. Imagine if Florida and Ohio didn't gerrymander the F out of their states.

Huh? Yes, barely. Exactly like the Democratic majority in the Senate. Spin it any way you want but the country is incredibly evenly divided.

So much winning

You really offer very little to this message board- almost like a stale burger from McDonalds…

I actually love having thought provoking discussions with people I disagree with, because I learn something new…But you could literally post NBA scores, and it would offer more substance than your usual blather…Sorry, but it had to be said…😉

Historically - we all know the opposition party historically gets HUGE gains in the midterms... but lest we forget:

So a quick skim of that and Taibbi said there was no government involvement in the laptop story?

Yes, Taibbi explicitly states that there was no evidence of government involvement.

Basically, Twitter had a really bad moderation policy (nuke suspicious info until it’s vetted) were warned about potential election interference by the FBI, and when they saw the laptop story, they invoked their (bad) policy.

This immediately backfired due to the Streisand Effect and was such a bad call that not only did a prominent Dem Congressman reach out to them to say blocking the story was bad, but they ended up reversing course within a day.

And what you’re saying is what’s the problem.  It’s not government intervention. It’s media intervention but that intervention tends to lean one way along the political spectrum.

The article points out the Facebook’s policy in similar situations is to allow the posting of the link but not boost it through algorithms until it’s vetted.

That seems way better than Twitter’s nuking policy.

If you want to say companies can have their own TOS and remove things that violate them...that's fine.  But the moment you have these same companies removing content at the specific request of the government and/or government agencies then thats clearly not ok. It's a clear first ammendment violation. It's quite fascist to be honest.

The guy that

@ChiGoose linked to had so much hand waving gobbledygook it puts chigoose himself to shame.
