Promises Made - Promises Killed

The funny part is that we as citizens have voted in year after year the same people that have run the country into the ground and outsourced the majority of jobs. Suddenly people think that in 4 years all of that multi-trillion dollar global corruption will just go gently into that good night. Trump's election was only the beginning of dismantling the global free trade system and restoring our Republic. It's only the beginning.

I agree. And recall what has been thrown at Trump the last 4 years in an attempt to handcuff him. He's done some pretty good Presidentin' in light of Russia! Russia Russia!, the deep state's coup, the "msm" reporting 90%+ negatively about him and his administration, his first two years being sabotaged from within the Republican party, the impeachment sham, and now a Chinese virus that took its toll in American lives, not to mention the economy.

He's one man slowing down the last 50+ years. If he is reelected and the Senate holds... maybe more slowdown? If the Rs can win back the House, possibly some real change? I want to be Pollyanna even as I am super cynical. And even if he gets reelected I worry what happens in 2024... I doubt there will ever be another fighter like President Trump, at least not in my lifetime.

Ok, so looking into that EO:

The three components are as follows:

* Creating credentialing and certification programs in every police department across the nation
*  Information sharing — create a national database that can track officers with excessive use of force complaints so they can’t skip from department to department
*  Incentivize co-responder programs — have mental health experts accompany officers on responses to non-violent calls involving homelessness, addiction, and other mental health issues

The last one could be a mess due to lack of people available.  Otherwise, I am not sure what the complaint is. What am I missing?

So, Trump voters/prospective Trump voters - tell me which of these things you signed up for:

  • Activist judges (bu-bu-but we have to vote Republican 4 da courtz!")
  • "Opportunity zones"
  • Half a wall
  • Violent felons released from prison (while shouting that "Biden sent them there!!!")
  • Burned churches
  • Less policing
  • Cities wrecked
  • Kardashian admin
  • ???

The dude has been handed two absolutely crushing, golden opportunities in the last four months and did ***** nothing with them.  Absolute flops.  Not only did he have four years to fulfill his promises on the borders but g-d set a pandemic from China at the last minute on a ***** tee and he completely whiffed.  Then g-d tosses up a hanging curveball of riots and we could have had law and order and victory parades and he ***** bunts it right back to the pitcher and ***** his pants on the way to first.

Everyone I talk to who was excited about Trump 2-3 years ago is demoralized now.  Not a great line to take - to dump all the excitement your prospective voters have to go to the polls.  I don't care if you think they're a "silent majority."  Pandering to 12% of the population trying to get maybe a few thousand of them to find their "natural conservative" burning inside of them isn't a winning strategy.

Trump said he'd drain the swamp but the swamp drained him.  ****heads like Kushner, Dan Crenshaw, Greg Abbott, and their ilk should have been run out of the RNC/GOP/offices on rails years ago.  Instead we get HW Bush but with more rallies.

You can't change my mind.

This could be true if Trump had a clear mandate from the electorate when he was elected.  It's a much different story when you frame it as 50% is completely opposed to him personally.   You may think that he's pandering to the 12%, but that 12% is getting full-throated support from at least 38%.

when you don't have a clear mandate and you're facing hostile resistance, your options are very limited.   You could look at it as a shock that he's been able to deliver on anything given the quicksand that's paved for him (not that he's adept in helping himself out anyway)

Don't let the door hit you on the way out, coward ;)

I highly support dissolving the union. I cannot tell you how much I would love for California to stop giving so much money to the South. Rest of the country woefully underappreciates CA's value. We're like the 5th largest economy in the world or some *****.

Trumpland can happily marry their guns and Covid their cousins and everyone can live in a BP station. Go nuts.

Greg....so THERE IT IS!  You're from California. That explains a lot. You live in a Left Wing echo chamber for goodness sakes.  It's no wonder you come on here spouting this nonsense day in and day out. As you can tell from my screen name I'm also out here, but for whatever reason I've developed herd immunity to the disease of progressive democratic socialism.

Vote for Biden if you think he'll give you better results.

What amazes some of us is Trump has given almost zero results of what he promised 4 years ago and yet you guys and gals lick his taint at every opportunity

And coal! The coal jobs have never come back!

And yes on Kushner. I mean like WTF is that azz clown doing anywhere near this government, yet he is in "charge" of middle east peace, criminal justice reform., opioid epidemic, diplomacy with China, the VA, and....

Trump recently put Kushner in charge of the “White House Office of American Innovation.” The new office “is designed to infuse fresh thinking into Washington, float above the daily political grind and create a lasting legacy for a president.” It’s task, according to Kushner is to make the entire U.S. government “run like a great American company.”

oh boy!

Ah.....the Corporate Republic.

It seems to be a very likely future scenario. A sci-fi theme for a long time.

So what's your solution? Elect the dementia patient?

But the dementia patient says that, if elected, he will fix the "errr....you know....the thing..." - how can you possibly argue with that logic?

Given there are lots of 'things' to fix, he's got my vote!

Which is precisely why I'm considering moving to a country that refuses to muddy its culture in defiance of global popular opinion.

There are a few out there that are doing it right.

You can strike Australia off your list then.

Sadly, we're just a smaller woke version of the US.
