Josh Norman?

Norman has been mostly disappointing, but if his issues are that he is not a great man corner and they are trying to force him into man coverage a lot then it might be worth looking into as long as they aren't breaking the bank for him.

I don’t watch a ton of redskin football, but I pay enough attention to know Norman has been bad there for a couple years. So bad he was almost a healthy scratch for one of the worst teams in the league yesterday. People think Levi Wallace is getting torched well you definitely wouldn’t like Norman here. If you’re going to add veterans to the team in the offseason you want guys like Gore on their last legs who can hopefully produce a little on the field still but you know they’ll work hard and be an asset to the team off the field, not a diva who has been washed up for two years and carries a giant attitude to pair with declining play.

Norman being bad in Washington isn’t as big a red flag for me. That organization isn’t very stable. 
The fact Norman hasn’t been good will mean he might be available for a value price. McDermott knows him and if he and Beane look at it after the season and see he fits, then I’m all for it. Phillips was known as a bit of a problem before he came to the Bills. Again playing for Gase in Miami wasn’t a turn off for Brandon and Sean. 
Bills need to lock Tre up, but we’ve seen you can’t have a mouth good corners.

wasnt johnson a first round pick that injuries kept from fullfilling his talent.

If our staff is good with signing Norman, I'm all in. I trust them. Sure he got paid, but players wanna win. I believe the Skins situation is part of his decline. You give your all and notice the franchise doesn't know what it's doing(ex. some wanted Haskins, some didn't. Trent Williams fiasco), you kinda question why you're there. We seem to know what we're doing and there should be a level of trust both ways. He wouldn't have to be "The Man" on our defense. I think he would compliment White and the rest of the D just fine. Beane knows what he's doing in relation to the cap. If Norman is brought in, it wouldn't jeopardize our cap situation. He reminds me of Richard Sherman. Up there in age, but can still contribute a lot in the right situation.

 I wonder if there is an issue between Beane and Josh Norman. Beane was in Carolina when they decided to let Norman go and not pay him.

Get a young D end who can pressure the QB and stop the run and Wallace starts looking like an all pro ?

He's been garbage lately- to the point where they couldn't give him away at the deadline. That being said, If McD brings him in I would be fine with it.

 

McD can sign Betty White to play Big Nickel and I will assume it's a fantastic move.

I dunno, getting benched on a 2-9 team when you're supposed to be one of their better players?

 

I mean, maybe they'd consider him for one of their veteran roles but Norman has never really struck me as the kind of player they prefer their veterans to be. They want vets to set good examples for their younger players and be team-first guys, I dunno if Norman is that type of player. 

 

I'm fine with Wallace and K. Johnson. I know Wallace had a couple of rough outings but that happens, you know, the other team is going to make plays and players are going to have bad games. Sometimes it feels like the expectations some fans have are unattainable. It's like, "WHAT?! Levi Wallace allowed four receptions for 64 yards?! This... this is atrocious! When is this stoopid organization going to sign players who can actually play, huh? Just what is Beane doing, he needs to go! WAIT, WHAT?! Ed Oliver only had ONE sack, ONE?!?! I said it before and I'll say it again and again and again because I'm da smartest lil' foosball expert youse ever did meet, but that Oliver is a BUST! You only use the ninth overall pick for a DT that's going to get you AT LEAST six sacks a game, 19 tackles for loss and four forced fumbles!"

Going into the offseason the Bills will have $90,968,000 in cap space. The 4th most in the entire league, behind only the Dolphins, Colts, and Buccaneers. So money shouldnt be much of an issue for signing a CB AND a DE or other positions.

 

We have a couple guys already on the team who I'd like to see brought back: Jordan Phillips being the only one who will command $10M or more on the open market. Shaq Lawson is probably the second on the list, but probably wont get that much. So looks like we're sitting pretty as it pertains to cash.

 

So yeah, the room is there if we wanted to bring in Norman.

 

The big deal will be working on extensions before a number of contracts expire in 2021. Poyer, Milano, Tre White, Dawkins, for sure need extensions asap.
