We told you this would happen.  TT protected the ball and kept them in most games.  The most notable exception being the Saints game last year - but the defense gave up 300 yards rushing too.  We told you Peterman was garbage. We told you a rookie was going to throw more INTs.  Now you see how awful the talent is on this team.

The defense is good enough to be .500 with a QB that isn't killing them.  Yes the OL is worse this year than last.

Bit this disaster of a season sitsd squarely on the shoulders of Beane. He traded away Watkins and TT. He traded away Glenn. He replaced Wood with garbage. He replaced Incognito with a septic tank.

Beane has to go.  McD can stay another year.  I will still defend trading down and getting White and an extra #1.  Mahomes would not be putting up thje stats he is in KC with these idiots at OC and with the players Beane has surrounded his QB with.

We told you this would happen and it has.

Now listen to us again.  Beane has got to go.  He can not be trusted with another off season of free agency and the draft.

Cordy Glenn, Eric Wood Richie Incognito.

Won't say anything else...

K, you’re in favor of paying 16 mil for 2.5 games of football from Taylor ??

He went 9-7.  But I get it. Your reality is selective.

All 3 are contributing on winning teams.

Bills have long been a skill position semi-pro training camp and when they are ready they go to playoff teams

I checked cumulative as well. from 2015-2017 he was sacked 124 times (3rd most behind Russ Wilson (129) and Matt Stafford (128)). Both had significantly more pass attempts, so I checked Sack %. TT was high there at 9.12%, but still in 3rd place (qualifier of 500+ attempts) behind Kaepernick (10.02%) and Jacby Brissett (9.97%).

With Daboll's play calling and our current O-line affairs, how do fans that told us how Tyrod feel about what would have gone down if he was our starter all year?

I personally feel it would have been an absolute train wreck. People would be saying everyone needs to be fired for keeping Tyrod on this team.

The Bills FO faults are the O-line, KB (or not having a real #1 WR) and a proper mentor QB (not named Tyrod) for Allen. I'm still up in the air as to what Daboll is at this point.

Actually, I have never posted anything even remotely close to bashing Tyrod. I wrote in an earlier post that I don't believe this team would be battling for a playoff spot even with Tyrod. I have also written that I have not bought into the process, nor am I in favor of firing everyone at this point.

I am not sure if you simply have a reading comprehension issue or if, in your quest to spew your emotional outbursts at so many posters, you can't keep straight who posted what.

But, hey, carry on your crusade if it makes you feel better.

This team went to the playoffs w tyrod. Most likely that would not have happened this year. But he would have been a great bridge for Allen for many reasons. Now tell me I’m emotional cause you have no clue how to respond.

Yep. Ran every receiver out of town because Tyrod wouldn't throw the football. Then we draft a guy and he has the worst corps. of receivers I think an NFL team has ever fielded and we're going to blame him rather than the receivers. Buffalo's fan base is ass backwards into everything, including tables.

that's the lowest possible definition of playoffs.

and they didn't even bother to show up and try

that's worse than keeping the streak alive

oh wait, the honest streak is for HOSTING a playoff game, that may go to the year 2125 at this rate.

I honestly believe things would have been better had we kept Tyrod for the year, not that I am or did advocate for that. Regardless of his passing, he was a player that the defense was required to pay attention to at all times. Now the only player on the Bills that requires that attention is Shady and he's being shut down because of it.

Also, I say it'd be better, but I'm not in any way saying we'd be good. The talent on offense declined steadily from 2015 to now and the production did along with it. I just think that Tyrod has enough experience that he would extend a few of these drives, potentially with his legs, and get us in scoring position a little more often. Of course there's no way to know this, but it's what I believe. We'd probably have ~10 TDs and ~2 INTs instead of 3 & 16 respectively. How that translates to W/L is anyone's guess though. I think we probably beat Houston, at least. The MNF score might've been closer as well, that was a heck of a performance from our D!

This year is the lowest possible definition of an NFL team.  You seem ok w that. But not the lowest possible definition of playoffs. So we disagree. It’s ok.

You are emotional, angry, and, apparently, feel the need to vent it at everyone. Let me try to make this as clear as possible:

I have never engaged in any discussion about whether or not Tyrod would be a great bridge or not.

I have never engaged in any discussion where I bashed Tyrod.

I really do not care to have any discussions about Tyrod, other than to say he is no longer here and it is pointless.

I have never said any of the things you are addressing.

Is that clear enough for you.

Honestly, you are like a child.

Fair enough, we see the outcome as different which is cool.  Even if Tyrod had us at 3-6 somehow what does that accomplish though realistically? Trading him for the 1st pick in the 3rd was a great move IMO, he was not worth a 16mill cap hit that would have pushed a different player off the roster if we kept him..

Beane not getting a seasoned vet or mentor was just a flat out bad decision once Allen went down. For me trading AJM was a boneheaded rookie FO decision. He had it nailed down originally and got his Peterman goggles on.

My offseason plan from late February was to cut Tyrod and sign Ryan Fitzpatrick. Obviously neither of those things panned out, but as far as direction we are on the same page. I like Tyrod, and I think he's better than many here seem to think, but he and the Bills needed to part ways for everyone's sake.

Would we probably be a game or two better with Tyrod even with a depleted OL and an even worse than last year WR corps? Yep. Would it matter one jot in the long term development of this team? No. And that for me is why the pick they were offered for him made sense to take.

Sticking with Tyrod meant sticking with mediocre Quarterback play. Now mediocre is better than we have had before and since but with mediocre eventually you have to cut ties and shoot for something better. You might fail. But that is better than not trying.

Tyrod would be a better option over what we have but he's still a mediocre QB, we need better than Taylor and all we can hope is that Josh Allen is that guy but it's way too early to tell.

Are you seriously trashing the bills making the playoffs this hard?  It may not have been pretty but you saying keeping a playoff drought alive is better you're the worst kind of fan. Get real dude

It is hard to say how much better the team would be with Tyrod behind center -- at least in the wins department.

The apples-to-apples comparison, of course, is the variance between Tyrod and Josh Allen -- and I suspect that the outcome of the games that Allen started would have been the same if Taylor was the starter. It is interesting to note that Allen's performance in these games (underwhelming passing numbers, an occasional big play, mostly protecting the football, and making his most consistent plays with his legs) was remarkably consistent with what we had come to expect from Tyrod. The difference? Allen is a rookie whom even the most optimistic fans agreed needed some time to develop before ever seeing the field.

It is hard to argue that Tyrod would not have been better than either Anderson or Peterman -- neither of whom should really be employed in the NFL.

Sadly, I am not sure if the record of this team would be much better even with an elite starter. Yes, a Rodgers or a Brady consistently gets more out of his supporting cast. But the quality of receivers that this team has may be the worst of any team -- ever. No separation, poor hands, etc. And KB is proving each week to be more and more of a gutless cancer. The talent level of this offense is truly pathetic at all levels, which makes it difficult to even blame the coaching.

You can only do so much with so little.
