Bills vs. Packers Post Game Thread

All I know is, when Allen looked like he hurt his right hand, I preferred he played left handed rather than have Peterman come in.

Tough game for the kid, as it was for most everyone today.

Daboll layed an egg big time.

There will be games like this for young QBs, especially when they don’t have too many options out there. It’s over and it’s all about how he gets off the mat.

On to the Titans.

My word I'm glad to see this post

growing pains are a B word and can be hard to watch but this is a team in it's second year with a rookie QB in just his 2nd start with lacking talent around him.

this place is going to be intolerable this week as the board draws all the negative moaning with their pitchforks and torches like leeches on blood.

Same as it ever was

Hasn't the book on Pettine always been to run the ball at him?  He's made any number of great QB's look bad but teams have found room to run.  With all that said a team that is a little over a season removed from leading the league in rushing for a second season seems absolutely incapable of getting it going against anyone.

And this is surprising in what way? The interior of the line is totally gone and there is a rookie at the helm.

Have we scored yet???

The defense was not nearly as horrible as the offense. They were on the field about 2/3 of the game I’m guessing. Not at all good, but the real embarrassment was on the other side of the ball. I expect ups and downs with a rookie QB, but that was a team fail on offense.

I have rarely seen so many holds against 55. well maybe i have.

Frazier should have moved him around instead of just inserting 54.
i would never call it pathetic. rough day ? for sure

I thought there were multiple blatant holds the refs didn’t call the Packers on today.

Officiating favors the victor, I guess.

I don't know what to think anymore.

I don't mind losing games, if there is solid improvement somewhere. The defense is coming around, but the play-calling was not good. Something's got to give there.

The offense was so bad, what do you do?? Is it Dabol's play-calling? Is it that Josh Allen literally has no help around him and these bad players can't execute a normal game-plan, so Dabol has to improvise?

Allen almost got killed today.

It's just do disheartening...forty years I've been pulling for this team, and I've never felt more like a sucker than I do right now.

??????Tip of the cap to JA standing up there and not taking the bait when offered, to in any way shape or form deflect blame for the offensive woes on his teammates—though I wouldn’t fault him if he did with that sorry “supporting” cast. You could tell he’d just survived a gauntlet of fire but kept his cool and composure, and I respect the heck out of this kid’s attitude and willingness to shoulder it all, including all of the blame, rightly or wrongly. That’s leadership guys can get behind. Just wish our next game was tomorrow so we can flush the taste of this one down the drain that much quicker...

If it were only that easy to erase the result.   Win the next and it will be forgotten.

Kudos to Josh.

It's not us!

This is a bad, bad team. Bad offensive line, bad WR corps, bad play calling, game plan. This is an OC who was never that good to begin with and he is not setting up the offense for a rookie to succeed. He is setting up an offense for a pass first offense with a crappy line that can't hold their pass blocks and with receivers that can't get open, get separation. Plus they seem to drop more balls than other teams.

This OC thinks he has the Falcons offense with Matt Ryan at QB that he is calling plays for... All this falls on bad coaching from the OC, the run game coordinator/line coach, receivers coach.

This offense might get fixed somewhat with better talent all around but I kinda doubt with these coaches.

I don’t want to dispute the total display of ineptitude on the offensive side of the ball, but I think you’ve kinda got it mixed, Augie.

When the defense is on the field 2/3 of the game, there’s a reason, and it’s not “they’re doing their job”, especially on the first 3 drives of the game.  Which, in case their is confusion on this point, resulted in punt, TD, TD.

I don’t think it’s mixed, at least in my mind. Just one was more awful than the other. That’s all I meant by that.

I’m just saying, I’m not sure I can buy that “the defense was not nearly as horrible as the offense”.  When you let the opponent back you down the field for 14 points on back to back drives and let them convert 57% of their 3rd downs...well, the word ain’t good, and horrible might apply.

I think it's because deep down you know that this performance can't all be explained away by bad teammates and play calling. At some point a good QB, even an inexperienced one having a bad day, steps up and makes something positive happen. He turns nothing into something...something Allen didn't do at all today.

A big part of the hope for this team is embedded in our new coach and QB. I think a lot of that hope and trust was shaken by today's performance. It's not just you.

Two bad drives on defense beats EVERY lousy drive on offense. That’s just how it felt watching live. Forgot to record, so I’ll just try to put this one behind me. We had more moments of competency on defense than we did on offense, from my perspective.
