You're exactly correct about all of that. If fact, it's worse than that. Everyone has ropes hanging from trees, white bed sheets are very expensive, and all the women are deplorable whores.

Please ensure you tell that to all your socialist friends when they attempt to avoid the high tax rates of the coastal elites. They don't want to go anywhere near that Northern Idaho.

My thanks in advance.

In other words let's not call it Greenland. Instead call it Iceland.

I hear the yokels aren't too fond of Californians... Seems they've been inundated by sunseekers now seeking financial relief.

You may need to declare your politics early and often.

If anything, they're afraid that the people moving there from CA will bring with them the epic failures of liberal policies on full display in CA.

Homelessness, hypodermic needles all over the streets, people taking dumps on the steps of the SF city hall, illegals murdering and raping young women, water rationing, farm destruction, and a bullet train that is costing billions, but does nothing beyond line some liberal pockets...all brought to you by the wonderful policies of a far left super majority.

They SHOULD be worried about those nutbags infiltrating their state. Who knows the kind of destruction the left can impose on a beautiful state like Idaho.  I suspect the first thing they'll do is shut down potato farms because of a small gnat threatened by too many potatoes.

Texas Constructs Border Wall To Keep Out Unwanted Refugees From California

August 3, 2018

AUSTIN, TX—The Texas legislature has approved construction of a border wall surrounding the state in order to keep out unwanted refugees fleeing the rapidly crumbling dystopia of California.

The legislature has been faced with an increasing number of Californians seeking asylum after fleeing the unhinged, far-left state, and finally found a solution.

Construction began shortly after the measure was passed. The wall will run around the entirety of Texas, with extra security measures on the west side of the state to ensure undesirable Californian immigrants can’t make it across. While low-traffic areas like the north and east sides of the state will be protected by a simple fence, the west side will feature a 10-foot-thick concrete wall with laser turrets, barbed wire, and a moat filled with sharks to stop residents of the coastal state from slipping in undocumented and undetected.

A recent conversation about changing the name of the city of Austin to be more politically correct opened lawmakers’ eyes to just how many liberal California residents had come to the state in recent years, bringing their crazy ideas with them.

“Far too many immigrants from California come here, take advantage of our pro-business, pro-liberty laws, and refuse to adjust to our way of life,” one Texas state rep said in an address to the assembly. “It is time for us to build a wall and make Governor Jerry Brown pay for it.”

Yah, Homelessness caused by mental health legislation signed into CA law by Ronnie Reagan himself... And as for all that rapin' and murderin', -the alleged the Golden State Killer... 12 murders 51 rapes, and over 100 burglaries... -Doesn't look like an illegal to me.

The homeless problem in CA is caused by a guy who was governor in 1967?

Sheesh. Someone tell Tibs to clutch the belt tightly. 34 is gunning for it.

Bi-partisan legislation signed by Reagan set the stage for the tradition of using jails as mental institutions in CA... -Once an insane person finishes their time,

they're dumped right back onto the street.-Where the vast majority stay...

It's bi-partisan, so it's the Republican governor's fault?

I didn't say it was his fault, I said, he signed the legislation... This issue took a couple decades to reach adulthood in CA.. Ronnie signed off on it... Pete Wilson signed off on some of it... Hell, even Jimmy Carter helped screw things up....

Back then, both parties had it wrong on mental health... Wrong on the state level, and wrong on the federal level... Knee-jerk reactions to abuses in the mental health system led to many being underserved, untreated, incarcerated, and left in the streets to fend for themselves.

Okay, so let's assume, as you say, that this has to do with Reagan from over 50 years ago.

Do you honestly believe that in all the years the Dems have had sole control over the state, there is nothing they could do?

Better yet, try this:  There are approximately 114,000 homeless people in CA. Do you think CA could fix the problem with, say, $77 billion? What about $100B? Could they fix the  homeless problem in CA with that kind of money?

Now tell me...why does the Dem super majority in CA care more about a bullet train to nowhere than helping the 114,000 Ronald Reagan put on street?

http://www.ppic.org/press-release/homelessness-in-california-linked-to-growing-gap-between-rich-and-poor-study-finds/

The State of California disagrees with you; and although they have spun their findings into a pro-Marxist rant, the data is accurate.

The State of California insists on importing vast amounts of poor people from third world nations, lacking education, or skills into their state.  These individuals come here destitute, and they remain destitute.  They take jobs from the poor who were already working here, who were among the most at risk in the American population.

Combine this with some of the most expensive zip codes in the nation, San Diego weather, and a taxpayer funded hand-out culture and you have a recipe for an explosion in homelessness.

Here is a more recent, and sadly accurate version of what is happening in LA County.

While mental health plays a small role in some of these homeless folks, even the LA Times knows who's been at fault for years.

Quote

The problem has only gotten worse since Mayor Eric Garcetti took office in 2013 and a liberal Democratic supermajority emerged in 2016 on the county Board of Supervisors.

Tent cities stretch from the Antelope Valley desert to the Santa Monica coast, with stopovers in unlikely communities — even Bel-Air, where a homeless cooking fire was implicated in December's Skirball fire.

During an October hygiene survey, county public health officials identified 222 encampments, including 50 with 30 or more people living in them. These ragtag outposts have altered the basic terms of urban life.

People in Koreatown step outside their fancy condos to find tents, rotting food and human feces at their doorsteps. Buses and trains have become de facto shelters, and thousands of people sleep in fear and degradation.

The city created this problem because they destroyed any assemblance of affordable housing while happily filling the streets with illegals. Any thinking person can read that article and see how the super majority has NO INTEREST in helping these people. They simply fight with each other and scrape the waste off their shoes before they head home to their beautiful homes, away from the   depravity they've helped create with their selfish policies.

But hey...that Reagan...he was a travesty for CA, amirite?!??

Exactly.

Devise policy which incentivizes people in destitute poverty to flock to your state, which happens to have weather which is comparatively kind to people sleeping outdoors, and provide them no place to live.

What the hell did they think was going to happen?

Here's the real money shot from the article.

Quote

"To project nearly $5 billion in revenue over the next decade shows substantial resolve and an undeniable commitment," said Los Angeles County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas. "The people of this region and their leaders [have] relocated their moral compass."

The city believes bringing in $5B over the next ten years shows commitment to this enormous problem. The leaders have "relocated their moral compass."

Does that moral compass point them to the $100B the state is spending on a bullet train that will never go anywhere?

No. There's a better chance it points them to the unbelievably moronic suggestion that this all started with Reagan in the mid 60s. Oh, and Pete Wilson! Those damn Republican governors!
