RULES ARE FOR THE LITTLE PEOPLE:

California campaign watchdogs say they want the ability to donate to candidates.

“California’s campaign watchdog agency has suspended a longstanding policy banning its members from contributing to federal candidates after one commissioner donated to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ presidential bid.”

AS ALWAYS LIFE IMITATES THE EARLIER, FUNNIER EPISODES OF SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE:

Shot: Official: Cruise ship could house 1,000 Oakland homeless.

A San Francisco Bay Area city official wants to explore the possibility of using a cruise ship to house up to 1,000 homeless people in the region with a high cost of living and a shortage of affordable housing.

Oakland City Council President Rebecca Kaplan told a council meeting Tuesday that the ship would be brought to the Port of Oakland, but port officials said Wednesday the move would be “untenable.”

“We respect President Kaplan’s desire to address homelessness but Port of Oakland docks are designed to work cargo ships, there isn’t the infrastructure to berth a cruise ship,” port spokesman Mike Zampa said.

Chaser:

Michael Dukakis: There’s my friend Leroy Neiman. Let’s go see what Leroy’s doing. [ approaches Leroy, who’s painting a mural ] Hello, Leroy. That’s great. It’s great. What do you call it?

Leroy Neiman: Governor, I call this “What Might Have Been”. It shows the nuclear aircraft carrier Niemitz after its conversion into a floating shelter for the homeless.

Michael Dukakis: Well, it’s beautiful, Leroy.

Leroy Neiman: Thank you.

Honestly, that's not even close to the worst idea I've ever heard for addressing homelessness.

CALIFORNICATION: 5 Unsettling California Tax Rules.

Just Dealing With Californians Can Mean Taxes.

This one is a shocker, even by California standards. California is sending tax bills to plenty of nonresidents who just do business with Californians. Consider gig economy workers who work remote, and many other people out there.

Take the case of Blair S. Bindley, OTA Case No. 18032402 (May 30, 2019). He lived and worked in Arizona, writing screenplays that he sent to studios in California and elsewhere. Since some of his customers were located in California, the state said his business — which was just him

— had to pay taxes in the Golden State.

There’s no one so greedy as a tax collector.

Especially if they let it sail out under the Golden Gate and keep heading west.

Dr. Siegel: San Francisco 'awash in human waste,' outbreaks are a concern

By Victor Garcia | Fox News

Fox News medical correspondent Dr. Marc Siegel says San Francisco residents should be worried about the homeless crisis' effect on their health after video surfaced of a homeless man defecating in the middle of an aisle at a local grocery store.

"Isn't it ironic that a city of germaphobes, of exercise-conscious, environmentally conscious [people] ... are now in a city that's awash in human waste, which is spreading hepatitis A outbreaks every year," Siegel said on "Tucker Carlson Tonight" Tuesday. "Big outbreaks of hepatitis A, rats in the streets feeding off of the garbage in sewage, typhus, typhoid fever, rotten bacterial infections and even the plague may be coming."

Shoppers took pictures of the man opening toilet paper and defecating in a Safeway grocery store aisle.

The wife said we should bring plastic bags to put on our feet.  Our first year there she got deathly ill.  Fluid in her lungs and around her heart.  They were never able to figure out what it was or what causes it.  The filth in the city and taking public transportation was the likely suspect.

My business partner did work up there at Airbnb  HQ recently on Brannan in the Design District, and couldn't believe how so much of the area smelled like piss.

It's nice to see they locals are moving indoors to take a dump.

Granted, by indoors I mean in Aisle 7 of the local Safeway, but still...

You notice how Tibs never talks about how badly the left has wrecked that beautiful city? Probably blames capitalism.

We notice it even more when it's such a beautiful city, but the Left and their policies have caused the ruination of many of our cities.
