I believe that Buffalo will have a shot at 2 QBs. Josh Rosen, Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield. Darnold will be gone at #1, the Jets will take another and Buffalo will not trade to #1 or #2, so WHO will BEANE draft at 5 or 6? Not what you would do, but hat will he do!

- I believe it would be Josh Rosen. He to me is the highest caliber QB and could learn the fastest. Forget the negative stuff, he is very good. We would have to sit him ALL of 2018 or he would get killed. He was the first name the Bills were associated with to move up and grab. He would need an above average offensive line.

- Mayfield could play by late November, because he is mobile, creative and accurate. I also believe he can will a win. I think he is too short and would rub the brass wrong.

- Josh Allen would sit ALL of 2018. He has Buffalo Bills written all over him, but he scares the heck out of me. Stronger and mobile. I can handle a bust. He could be the best of the class in 3+ years?

Notes:

- I left Lamar Jackson off the list, because I do not believe we would trade up for him. He maybe the pick at 12, but it would shock me.

- 2 or 3 1st round QBs will be a bust statistically. The Jets will draft a BUST! I am guessing it will be Josh Allen.

Allen could go 1, Mayfield 3.  I don't see Rosen in the discussion at 1.  He may be considered at 3.  I would guess Rosen because I think he is most likely to be avaliable at 5, though unlike many on this board, I prefer Allen and Mayfield.

i like Rosen alot. i just don't know what a couple more shots to the ol' noggin will do here. it would be a Billsy thing to draft the kid, he displays a great future and then, bam! doctors advise him to retire for the sake of his health.

Durability is my main concern with Rosen, though I would be happy with any of the top four.

You can't hit QB's anymore in the NFL. I wouldn't worry.

i think darnold would be their number one choice, based on personality/attitude. but from listening to rosen, i think he has many traits that the bills staff covet. he is tall and can "win from the pocket" as i have heard coach mcdermott say before. so this is my horse in the race.

I agree with you. Darnold and Rosen are Southern Cal boys and don't really fit the blue-collar type that Buffalo fans covet...at least what this fan covets. I honestly don't get all the love for a fragile pocket passer who has great difficulty escaping the pocket and has durability issues. 6'4'', 222 lbs means a tall scrawny kid that didn't win a lot of games in college.

Darnold should go #1 overall and if he doesn't it throws a monkey wrench in the draft. I think Rosen falls in the draft and Buffalo should be able to get him at the #4, or #5 spot. That is if they really want him. I'm thinking this front office loves Josh Allen like I do.

I actually don't mind Darnold.  He seems down to earth.  I like Westerns and his grandfather was the Marlboro man, so he can't be all bad:P.  I think he's going 1 overall.   I buy the argument that Allen's inaccuracy is somewhat exaggerated and that he was often taking low percentage shots downfield with less than stellar receivers.  Folks like to say, so what, he had bad receivers but they went up against low caliber players in his conference.  Well, that doesn't really matter if your poor receivers keep dropping your passes.

Regardless, I think Allen and Mayfield bring an edge we need.  Allen is the "long play."  I hope we have the guts and foresight to make it happen.

If we offer #12 and 2019 1st, I think Indy would certainly be interested, possibly Denver. Indy would then have 2 #1s and 2 #2s next year. We would still have all of our picks this year to fill our many needs. We will have a lot of $ next year in free agency.

Really don’t want to give up next years #1 as we “could” be drafting in the top 10.

This is the exact scenario I see happening Thursday night.
