greeneblitz Posted April 18, 2018 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Please no, such a risk, his value is multitudes higher than at any other point in his career, he did a great job in the playoffs but took over a 13-3 team with a 2nd year QB under center, he's been just average for the rest of his career, he could be the next Kurt Warner but most likely not. He does not have a lot of miles and even when he was “bad,” he was on pace for a better year than we’ve seen here in a long time. If one of the big name prospects slides down to #12, I'd be thrilled to get one of them...but man, the price-tag is really high for a game of chance. Rather the question is sustainability and consistency at the QB position with an ability to lift the play of teammates. If Foles starts the season because Wentz is not quite ready, he could pick up where he left off and have success. Then, if Wentz returns and does not do well because he is not yet 100%, (he may not be all season) Eagles fans will grow restless quickly and want Foles back in as starter. That is the rub....I suspect that you would be sacrificing far less precious draft capital for his services, than you would be for a player who you really have no idea can do the things you want him to do. In the game they gave up 52 points, the Bills turned the ball over 9 times. The Cowboys should have had 59 if not for Leon Lett's showboating.
