Those are all reason why if you get past the hype he is probably 2nd or 3rd rd caliber. Mayfeild has 0 chance going top 5, 10 or 15. I think someone will take a chance with him like Tebow and Manziel were before him. Do you trade up for one or hope one falls? I think you trade up for a qb, keep Taylor and keep building. Maybe a rookie prompts a jult in Taylors play like kaepernick and Mahomes did to Alex Smith. As for trading up, it really depends on how far up...if you’re trying to get to 1 or 2, then it should be for a Luck / Manning type prospect. But, if you’re trading up into the 8-4 range, you need to know the value - cold. Because there’s more risk in the player and still a hefty tag.
