Geezus, get a grip!

More "He's Hitler!!"

There has been nothing remotely close to what Hitler tried to do.

I didn't say he was Hitler, Einstein.

I said the process that put Hitler in power is very similar to the process that put Trump in power.

People much smarter than you have often debated how a man like Hitler could come to power.

You are living through a similar movement now; no need to read a history book in this instance.

because Kimmel was way off in his statements and excised an opinion that knew very little on the subject matter just as these athletes do.

If we want political mumbo-jumbo we turn to the Maddows, carlsons, blitzers, etc.

We want sports and we want to laugh. We don't need a barrage of Media group think when it's shown most disagree with the statements.

Please show us where Kimmel got it wrong. The AMA and a host of others who DO know better said he was right.

The process that put Trump in power is known as " eight years of Obama".

Just list off the terrible things that have happened...I'm ready.

These are just special interests protecting their turf.

Ummm, okay....well a nuclear holocost is the first thing that pops into my mind....

Does that scare you?

Won't happen. Doesn't have much to do with Trump, really. It's the nut job in North Korea.

no. He was wrong. Tons wrong. The biggest point he had was that pre ex would be cut off. That's wrong. He's an idiot and took his cues from the dolts of government who didn't even take a chance to get the previous national health care bill correct.

Kimmel is a cuck holster for Schumer and the like. Nothing more

you don't spend much time here do ya?

Again I work in health care and our organization follows this very carefully. The proposed legislation does not absolutely guarantee coverage for pre-existing conditions. It requires states to provide access to care. Access is the keyword. If a state decides to take money out of health care, or if an insurer decides to charge much higher premiums they are still offering coverage for pre-existing conditions. But the people with it may not be able to actually access the care because they can't afford the premiums or have a way to get to a health care provider

Do you work in health care? Are you following it that closely or just taking talking points from some site that you agree with? I'm pretty comfortable stating I know way more about this than you do.

And I spend a reasonable amount of time here.

Tongue in cheek with this topic requires a delicate touch...you're just pounding away at it like a rapist.

I'm directing it to obscurity. Or was but it is just derailing constantly.

These threads just need to be sent to PPP immediately

yes. I work as an insurance analyst for the local hospital. This bill has a local mix of good and bad. But it's no different than the ACA which also screwed over a lot of people.

I suggest ppp thread on this for further discussion

That's really the issue. The GOP and the plan and the explanation uses nebulous words like accessible or available or affordable but they simply are not for a lot of people. Just because a plan is accessible doesn't mean you can afford it or the waiver or the subsidy will cover it. The rates will be such that if you have PEC in a lot of states you will be reaching for a porkchop held out of the dog's reach.

You act like this is so far outside the realm of possibility. Are you following along with this whole North Korea thing?

NK isn't a big deal

NK lunches a weapon even as a test and China has no choice to forget them. NK wiped out in minutes if that even messes up or impacts a person

NK continues to rattle sabres and nothing happens.

NK is done.

Actually he was spot on about the proposed legislation. I work in health care and we have been following it closely.

As for Shady's comments, he and other athletes, trash collectors, doctors, anyone has the right to speak out and how much money one makes has nothing to do with that right. You and others forget this country was founded by people who moved here to escape religious persecution and then a century and some years later fought a war against rulers who did not want the colonists to have such rights.

I stand for the Anthem. And I also understand the flag and the values it represents stand for supportin mg people's rights and not taking them away. We have a president who has no idea of why this country was founded and what individual rights under the constitution mean. He spouts off jingoistic nonsense so scared people applaud him and thus feed his enormous ego.

Yes, I looked through the link. And in numerous posts it says pretty much what I said. While states would have to cover pre-existing conditions states can also apply for waivers to not have to do things that were under the ACA.

Access to coverage is not coverage. I can offer everyone in America healthcare right now, but if the amount you'd have to pay to get it is impossible for you to handle, then access is meaningless.
