"Last season, the Bills lost 7 games in which they scored 20 or more points. As a defensive coach, I would think that Ryan would have been able to utilize his coaching skills to stop an offense. But he failed.

The biggest example of this was when the Bills faced the Oakland Raiders in Week 13. The Bills took a 24-9 lead in the third quarter and never touched the end zone again. The Raiders scored 29 straight points and secured a 38-24 victory. This game was unacceptable and could have helped the Bills make a playoff push.

The last straw was the Bills losing to the Dolphins the second time. Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi rushed for over 200 yards against the Bills in both meetings. And they didnt lose to Ryan Tannehill, they lost to backup QB Matt Moore. The Dolphins beat the Bills 34-31 in overtime, which led to the firing of Rex Ryan and the Bills being eliminated from the playoffs."

What's your point? We didn't win. Saying we should have is meaningless. It didn't happen for whatever reason.

Just like Whaley did a fine job, in shoulda/woulda/coulda land.

Why are you constantly being confrontational and argumentative? You pick the most petty fights. Edited by Bangarang

Agreed and he fixates on things not related to the posts - in this case Whaley for some awful reason.

Someone disagrees and it is suddenly something about either EJ or Whaley - having nothing to do with the discussion at hand.

It's called changing the argument. If you don't have something good to say then you derail, derail and derail. You get them talking about other things. At the very least, it confuses the argument. It's especially effective if you say something outrageous or stupid that causes the other person to feel it's so idiotic or crazy that they have to respond.

The question is why people feel the need to do so on a message board that is a casual conversation. You don't really have winners and losers like a debate or a political election.

Why does everyone keep posting fancy stats in their defense of Tie Rod? He is average at best. What will the excuse be this year if he again proves he cannot put a team on his shoulders and win when it counts?

I agree that the stats aren't the only thing that counts (especially if a QB puts up gaudy numbers and his team still loses), but it is not just TT who is responsible for wins and losses. The Defense has got to be able to protect a lead, the Kicker has to make FGs when the game is on the line, the Staff can't get penalized for too many players on the field (or too few).

oh goodie, look, another Tyrod thread. now maybe that, "Tyrod will not be handed the starting QB job" thread will drift off into the nether regions.

So don't read it.. nock off the sarcastic remarks.. its a different view on how Taylor may be graded,,, don't like it? don't read it.

lol.

apparently the comment was lost upon you, my apologies. did you see the last five/ten pages of the, Tyrod starting job thread? the commentary was in regard to what that thread devolved into. as well as the potential for this thread to fall into the same devaluation.

Didn't you go on record 2 or 3 times that this was the best draft in a while?

Who was the GM.....

doubtful.

Yes. McDermott ran this draft. Whaley was a bad drafter overall. and my post was for a particular poster, yet people always feel the need to judge and select which post which isn't for them to intrude on, not knowing any history behind it. Arrogance abounds on message boards. Just watch the response to this post.

Whaley is gone. He was not a good GM.That is why he is gone.

What are 90% of your posts? lets critique and be arrogant with everyone's posting, feeling that your own is far superior. Yours doesn't waste anyone's time.

Reminds me of a couple years ago when Aaron Rodgers went 24/35 for 333 yards and 5 TDs, no INTs. PFF graded him a -0.8 because 3 of his TDs were thrown on quick outs to Cobb and then Cobb ran the TDs in, so they didn't count towards the QB grade. Oh, and they counted a fumble on a play that got called back due to a defensive penalty against his grade too.

Box Score

PFF 'Justification'

This is why, imo, it makes sense to look at multiple 'ratings' and metrics, instead of just of just focusing on one.
