That doesn't mean it wasn't true when it was reported. That's what happens with news stories. It's also immaterial to whatever information prosecutors have in regards to whether or not Cohen traveled to Prague. If it went away because it was just a report by a news organization, then it wasn't true when it was reported, because if it were true it wouldn't have gone away, as it would be a component of the continuing investigation. He was in Los Angeles, with his son, touring a college campus. It was a recruiting visit for his son, there's scheduling paper work and plane tickets and geolocation tags which all say the same thing: Cohen was in Los Angeles the day Steele says he was in Prague. August/September 2016 by 3 colleagues for secret discussions with Kremlin representatives and associated operators/hackers It does not specify a specific day. It does specify a more specific time period, though... COHEN had been accompanied to Prague by 3 colleagues and the timing of the visit was either in the last week of August or the first week of September.
