I believe LorAx accused the team (generally) of being mentally weak after last week, causing Rex to get a lot of questions about it immediately in the post-game. That probably pissed him off. He brought Lorax here to be a leader and then maybe punishes him????? Rex is a players coach and doesn't want his players to get their feelings hurt. I've said from the beginning that Shaq's injury and Zo's breakout coincided almost perfectly, timing wise. Shaq had been expected to start and Zo had been expected to be a depth edge rusher and primarily ST player. Not only had he never started, he never played snaps like he did the first half of this season at the ripe age of 33. With Shaq coming back halfway through it allowed Rex to ease him in slowly as he had no TC until he could handle and effectively manage starting reps. Regardless of whether he's out there the first play it's about who is getting the most reps across from Hughes. Now we have a fresh, hungry rookie out there as we can get Zo back to normalcy for his age and body. He's not super man. He will be less effective, not more effective, with more reps.
