Anyone else completely fed up with the Dareus hate?

He's rich and he's black. What did you expect from a fan base that loves Frank Reich and Brian Moorman? He smokes pot. So what. Half the people on this board are ****-faced two hours before kickoff.

Sammy gets the same treatment. They are two of the top 5 guys on the team. Much of it is just misguided frustration and jealousy.

Yes Marcell has smoked away hundreds of thousands of dollars. But in relative terms, most on here have pissed away just as much at the Niagara Falls casino or on crap beer.

We are all jealous not to have been born with their talent. And to see them seemingly waste it is very frustrating. But again how many of us wasted opportunities in our twenties??? Our advantage is for most of us, our prime earning years are after the age of 35 hopefully when the mistakes are less common.

When 19 of your 22 starters and all of your players at "key" positions are black.......when they aren't producing......... you are going to find people who are critical of players that happen to be black. :doh:

 

Good to know that people weren't critical of guys like Rob Johnson, Drew Bledsoe, Jerrys Crafts and Ostroski, Chris Kelsay, JP Losman, Trent Edwards.........universally loved because of their whiteness. :lol:

Billy Joe Neckbert, Geoff Hangartner, Kelly Holcomb, Jim Leonhard, Mark Kelso, Andy Levitre... I could go on. The Dareus hate has NOTHING to do with the color of his skin.

Nope. Not fed up at all. Absolutely hate the guy. Guilty as charged. I want winners on my team. Not losers like Dareus who get huge money and give little in return. This guy took the money and hes on the run. Wont have more than five sacks in a single season ever again. At least not till we cut him and hes looking for his last big deal. Mario Williams not so lite. Thats what Dareus is. If he loved the game half as much as his bud hed be a hall of famer. Cant wait ill hes gone cause as long as guys like him are around this team is going nowhere. I respect guys who want to be great. Thurman, Bruce, Andre, Kelly. They wanted to be great. Joe Montana, Jerry Rice. Elway. Not this bum. Has all the talent in the world. Zero interest in applying it. Talent you and I only dream of having. Zero respect. He cant be gone fast enough as far as Im concerned. Deserve every ounce of hate hes getting. Hes earned every bit of it.

Brian Moorman? Are you f-ING kidding me. The punter. When the hell did Brian freakin Moorman get a 100 million dollar contract, get suspended, show up out of shape twice, and see a dramatic drop in production after getting said contract.

Gilmore doesn't deserve a break; he hasn't been injured. He's just not as good as many, including him, appear to feel he is.

Disagree with you on this, Dareus is by far the highest paid player on the team and continues to let everyone down with his selfish off the field issues. Gilmore doesn't have the big contract yet, and while he's having a down year, he's been pretty solid since coming in as a rookie.

You sign the big contract and you are going to be criticized when you don't live up to it. A-Rod was one of the best baseball players of all time (steroids aside) and he was the most criticized player I've ever seen in my life. The reason being was he signed that ridiculously huge contract that he could never live up to. Bryce Harper looks to be next. Dareus as a $100 million man is held to a higher standard and when he doesn't perform hes going to be criticized. It's sports. Welcome.

Sure thing. As soon as Dareus starts acting like a true professional and keeps himself in shape and acts like a team player. Right now it's all about him. They gave him a big contract and it has a ripple effect when a team has a big contract. You are limited in other areas regarding the roster. Such as no decent WR depth among other areas. Why do you give this guy a break? If you or anyone else did what he did you would probably lose your job.
