Critics stated he really only had one breakout year (last year), and otherwise was good, not great. Not my opinion. The same was true of Osweiler in Denver. Elias placed a $15 mil value, and because he demanded more, he let another team overpay. More often than not, teams overpay for free agents. The Redskins may end up being the loser in this deal. And that he will be 29 during the 2016 season - not a great age to be committing long term, guaranteed money to a corner. To me that is what it came down to. They should have got something for him but would not have received much. Very interested in what Carolina will do next year.
