Today I learned.....

I always wondered what that number was.

131 times, that is a lot! Does that factor in the chithole that the bag was made in (China)... And the effect on the poor slobs making it?

Land of enviro unintended consequences.

Don't the enviro bags ended up getting nasty, bacteria filled from using so much. You can't wash them or they fall apart. Then there is the water and soap needed even if you can wash them.

But we separate, I mean "recycle" our garbage too. Figures. These environmental Nazis have their heads so far up in the clouds while simultaneously stuffed up their azzes... You wouldn't think it possible.

But save the earth from the ugly plastic bag!

How long does it have to sit forgotten in my pantry to have the same impact?

He also fishes w/ cormorant but is reluctant to feed them every 6th fish.

That DC, he does everthing. A jack off of all trades.

;-)

Every time I see this word I think of this (1:31)

So says "Stephen Joseph, counsel for the Save the Plastic Bag Coalition, a San Francisco-based coalition of plastic bag manufacturers." so not surprising.

It is like Beerball saying a case of beer drunk a day is good for your health.

They're comparing the marine impact, litter, and waste management to the fresh water and energy usage of growing cotton and making canvas...and coming up with a factor of "131?"

You need to unlearn this.

And the young 10 year old Vietnamese girl chained to the sewing machine?

I say phuck the enviro... It will get over it. Anyway, it isn't even a point about the plastic bag if one just gets rid of it properly... Or sorts it to hopefully be recycled.
