He threw over the middle on occasions, converted a couple of 3rd down and was able to feed the ball to his playmaker. It's one Roman and if it's not on Roman it's on Rex. You do it until they stop you. That's high school football. They never stopped him we stopped him. Awful games by Rex, Crossman, Dan Carpenter, and a very injury depleted defense put him into positions in the second half which exposed all of his deficiencies. Tyrod gets neither a game ball, nor a water-boarding after this game. He simply is what he is. best post so far. well done Sans the bad fumble TT had a very good game. Before the half and with 1'40 on the clock, he dropped an easy pass on 1st down, He had another in the 4th quarter when the offense needed to step up and score points. Just an awful day by him. The injury depleted defense, Dan Carpenter, Danny Crossman, and Rex Ryan shoulder the lion's share, but Tyrod demonstrated, once again, that he can't be trusted to win a game playing from behind. He, after having his primary target taken away from him, could not work through progressions, locked on to receivers (often Sammy) waiting for them to come open, demonstrated awful pocket presence, etc. Tyrod is who he is. They just line him up and run him on go routes half the time it seem. They can create mismatches by where they line him up yet you rarely see it. I'm not seeing much of a difference between him and EJ anyways. At least EJ can hit that deep downfield middle pass that's been nonexistent. Taylor looked scared in the pocket in the second half. truth on hold Posted November 29, 2015 Share Posted November 29, 2015 (edited) although loss wasnt on him, at end of the day he doesnt have it. he has no presence out there to command the offense. the TDs to watkins were set plays anyone QB could make. that was more about watkins and the set play call than the QB. when called on to make reads, go thru possessions, extend plays at critical times, look off defenders, decisive throws into tight coverage... etc etc ... he falls short. His speed is negated by his slight frame which requires just getting a hand on him to redirect or get him down. And perhaps what bothers me most ... he simply cannot sense pressure, especially from the right side. 2 games in a row now he's coughed up key 2nd half fumbles because he couldnt see a defender bearing down right on him Edited November 29, 2015 by JTSP Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Probably easily 1/3 of the teams in the league can honestly say their QB isn't the long term answer, but they also are smart enough to realize they are still better off than the alternative. Or you can be like Seattle and pay huge $$ for a QB that's maybe a bit better than middle of the road, now don't have the money to pay other players. Will see in the next couple of years how good RW really is when he's asked to carry the team. I agree wit ht he statement "this game was winnable" but finish it with if the defense stepped up and played like they did before Rex was here. Taylor proved today that he just doesn't have what it takes to be the long term answer. It's harsh, but the results are the results. This game was winnable and they needed their QB to make big plays in the second half and he just couldn't do it. He was frozen in the pocket and could not make a decision on what to do before it was too late time and time and time again. IMO he's a very good backup QB in this league and I have little doubt the Bills will be trying hard to find a true starting QB this offseason. The Bills will be going hard for a veteran QB who doesn't get the "deer in the headlights" look in crunch time. IMO today was the beginning of the end for Taylor's long term NFL starter career.
