Garrett: We will 'evaluate' QBs during bye week

Is Brandon Weeden about to take a seat in Dallas? Coach Jason Garrett announced Monday that the Cowboys will evaluate the quarterback position during their bye week. Is it Matt Cassel time?

The Cowboys are 0-3 in games started by Weeden since Romo went out with injury.

The Dallas offense is in trouble no matter who the starter is.They don't have Murray lining up in that backfield this year and it has really shown. Losing Dez has made that fact even more evident. Witten has lost a step. Terrence Williams has either disappeared or was only getting open because teams had to roll the coverage to Witten and Bryant. They are pretty much left with Witten and Cole Beasley at the moment. Sad state of affairs right now for Jerruh.

Romo and Dez both out at the same time is no doubt the double whammy for Jerrah and the Cowboys.

Pshaw! Everyone knows a good QB doesn't need the other 10 players on offense. They only get in his way.

Problem with Cassel replacing Weeden is neither will attack downfield and that is Weeden's issue.

The problem is that Weeden hasn't been part of the solution either. He refuses to attack downfield whether it's because the coaching staff has threatened him or he doesn't trust his eyes.

and ESPN's writer agrees:

For those clamoring for Cassel, who's on his fourth team since 2012, you might be sorely disappointed in a couple of weeks when you discover that he has many of the same issues Weeden has displayed. There's a reason the Cowboys got him for a late-round draft pick.

Caretaker is best way to describe him and the cut, sign and trade was a good deal for Bills even with TT injured.
