I don't know much about Gregory besides the failed drug test. But is he worth it at 50? He seemed to lack accountability for his actions when interviewed on NFL network before the draft

Even bigger than the drug tests is he's got serious questions about his love for the game and often simply seemed like he didn't care to flip on his motor during games last year. Granted he wouldn't be the first chronic smoker to have motivation questions.

I was reading that his issues might be deeper than just that. Like anxiety/ depression issues. Great talent but I worry about guys who struggle with motivation.

I really like Williams and I'm good with a olinemen. I don't want a QB so that's probably who we will pick. :)

I really hope Collins falls to us.

Both the Jets and Fins are going to have strong defensive lines this year. Whoever our QB is, he's going to get crushed if our OL plays like last year.

Richie was a great pickup but we need more help.

Collins might keep falling. It sounds like he is innocent but this is a bad situation.

And I'm not assuming anything with RI. He hasn't played in a year and half. I won't mind multiple o linemen drafted this weekend.

Have you ever watched The First 48?

And it is reported many teams have taken Collins off their draft boards. He is probably the best lineman in this draft. Collins was a 5 star recruit out of high school, all american in college, would of been a high selection last draft, but came back for senior year and played great. Scouts have been following him for a long time. To pull Collins off the draft board is telling. I bet every team in the nfl is trying to solve this this case and weigh risk/reward. But where there is smoke there tends to be fire

Agreed...

The one thing that would seem to be fairly easy to determine is his alibi...But then you have the possibility he was involved through others...

This is a tremendously tough call due to his talent level, and of course the severity of the crime...We're talking about a kid that was a potential top 15 pick at a position almost every team needs, and a position the Bills would LOVE to fill...It's some serious temptation...And I think you're right Pete...If he continues to slide the Bills are going to be investigating this as much as possible right up until they pick at #50... B-)

Statement from Gregory:

CD7JiULUgAE1yy6.png

The idea that someone else's decision that he had no control over amounts to him letting someone down doesn't compute for me.

Wow...I'm guessing the stuff that nobody knows about him--not even his family--is what's causing him to drop.

That could be. It would explain the logical void in his statement.

Sure...of course, at some point, someone's going to leak what he said. I sure hope--for the sake of the teams passing on him--it's some cause for legitimate concern like emotional issues, psychological issues, etc. and not something totally unrelated to football like he's a Scientologist or homosexual.

I actually gained a lot of respect for this kid with that. Obviously, someone is steering him to do this but still. If he was mature enough to lay it all out there and admit his mistakes that is a positive. I assumed that if you were dumb enough to get busted at the combine that it is as much about not caring. This says to me that he does care.

the buzz that "the other shoe was going to drop on Gregory" makes me think he has some issues that a team didn't want to have to worry about going public. He hasnt told his family?

I say draft Gregory. He's a starter and a impact player.then try trading up for Collins on the OL. They are both risks but 1st round talents. If one pans out they did a great job. If both pan out, they struck gold

I think the chances of Gregory being around at #50 are slim and none...And slim done left town... B-)

I think his hearts in a good place, my problem is this process isn't a MTV confessional, it's a job interview. He should honestly answer the questions asked of him, but if I'm interviewing some kid and he goes off on a tangent about emotional issues he's dealing with or makes confessions and tells me he hasn't even told his family that information, I'm probably going to say "this guy has a screw loose, pass."

I really just want one of AJ Cann or Jake Fisher and one of Eric Kendricks, Bernardrick McKinney or Denzel Perryman. Trade our 5th, 2 6ths and 7th to make that happen. Spend Saturday setting up the UDFA list, hit that hard as soon as round 7 ends and sell them on not having to compete with other drafted rookies for a spot.

Given the options I agree. And I agree that he won't fall. Same with Dawson. Perryman looks to be a thumper, but a 2-down ILB. Of course "they" said the same about Preston Brown and he proved "them" to be idiots.

IMHO, much depends on when the standard 2nd round run on O lineman begins. If it's later than normal....we may see some value drop to us.

EDIT: looking at the picks again...perhaps the O line run has already begun? Man this is a crappy draft class.

It really does seem like a weak draft!

I would be fine with that!
