It might mean demonstrate that he knew he'd be doing this soon, but there is more than enough evidence for that already. If they had or do find that the transfer came from someone else that could be a big deal. Perhaps the purple haze inside your brain missed the fact that people were saying the deposit itself was some sort of big deal and might indicate outside influence.
