Fun contest, Fergy!

I love all the delusionsal/hopeful predictions. A 16-yard pass to Woods is like predicting the Bills will win the Super Bowl.

Let's not kid ourselves; everyone on here knows it is going to be a Spiller run for 2 yards.

That said, I can't pick that-- so I too will be hopeful and predict RUN/SPILLER/5 YARDS.

Wow....did you read my Shoutbox prediction?

@ thebandit27 : (05 September 2014 - 08:58 AM) @Fergy Yeah, I went for percentages on that one. If I were having fun it'd be something like Sammy on a jet sweep for 14 yards

 I didn't I swear! After watching the Seahawks run it with Harvin last night it just really stuck with me that that is one of the many ways we need to use Sammy and so it's more of a hope than a prediction for me.

What will be the Buffalo Bills first offensive play from scrimmage for the 2014-15 season, who is the recipient (run or pass) and distance??

The person who guesses

1) the correct play (run or pass),

2) the correct recipient of the ball (WR, RB or QB keeper) and

3) the distance (has to be positive yardage) wins a free hat at the Bills Store (up to $40 value).

In the event of a sack on the first play, we will have to use the second play from scrimmage.s

(I know I'm asking for a lot of details but if I just said "will it be a run or pass" I'd be buying 86 hats.

MY GUESS: Pass, Screen to CJ Spiller, gain of 8 yards.

The terms of this contest are geared toward raising awareness for the team, El Pegual, and good clean fun. Moderators and their families of TBD are prohibited from participating in this contest because they have magical powers to go back and change their answers which most of us cannot do. Cugalabanza's daughter is also prohibited from making a guess because she is a well know witch (no offense). If DC Tom or OC in Buffalo submit a guess, it must be in the form of a theorem that can be proved within 6 months. If you submit a guess while drunk, you are precluded from collecting your prize because you put absolutely no thought into your submission.

A 12 yard out, off of a run fake, to Robert Woods, right side

Still unclear on what happens in the event of an incomplete pass or a run for no gain.

That's an unnecessary stupidity penalty, this player is ejected from the contest, and cannot renter the game. ... Replay 1st Down.

Great idea! I will go with a boring guess:

Running play to CJ Spiller for 4 yards.

Run with Spiller for 3.5 yards

It depends on what the definition of "positive" is :D

Perhaps I'm missing something here.

I believe I understand what positive is. Any yardage beyond the original LOS.

And in the event of a sack, you will use the second play from scrimmage. So far I'm pretty clear on the concept, I think.

But what happens if the 1st play results in no yardage: That is, not a sack and no positive yardage? Nobody wins? Everybody wins?

See my confusion?
