Especially after all the camp cuts last year when he was pressed. I thought it was a good move by Marrone to let him have the job uncontested is all. I know it is 1 series in the preseason...I know All I can think of for the narrative of this season: A Good Defense Wasted Yes, it is way too early to write off EJ, but it would have been really nice to have seen something positive.
