I have a pretty good job offer that would require me to relocate to the Hackensack NJ area. Does anyone live around there and have suggestions on nearby towns/cities to live in? I have done some preliminary Craigslist shopping for apartments and prices vary quite a bit within a 20 mile radius. I'm 39, single, with no kids. I'm looking to keep rent below $2500 per month. Any insight is greatly appreciated since I am going into this with no knowledge of the area other than the very basic "Hoboken is the hot spot" advice.

2500 a month... For rent!

Oh Elizabeth, I am coming to join you honey!

You oughta know by now. Who needs a house out in Hackensack? Is that all you get for your money?

He won't be able to drive w/a broken back, but @ least he can polish the fenders.

Move to Fort Lee. Easy access to the bridge! :o

If he does, say hi to Mr. Richard Feder of Ft. Lee, NJ.

I agree. I used to live there. I remember telling my mama that if that's moving up, then I'm moving out.

Pretty good bball players from there though. I know Syracuse used to land a lot of Camden guys for some years.
