...still have Manuel take a majority of the snaps (and not tell the press that), have Tuel hand the ball off on the first play and then put Manuel in, without getting in trouble with the League and disclosures?

Sorry for being long winded, but just wondering.

Yes.

There is no official procedure for naming starters. The Bills must list players as "Out, Questionable, Probable" that is it. They can do exactly what you said, or just keep like they are, list Manuel as Questionable, and call him a game time decision...and he could still start.

What would be the point of that?

Dont give me the make the Pats prepare for Tuel then bring EJ in argument bc that's a non factor

Not that you can really pull the wool over belichek's eyes, but is it worth it, just to keep them guessing?

Edit: :) yeah, Max, that actually was the point. Hey, I'm just grab bin' here, but I'm still grab in'!

It's not a factor as the Pats like us are fully expecting EJ to play. They already know the Bills are going to run an up tempo offense so that won't change and although we assume the Bills have shown little they have an idea what kind of offense they are going to run as well

The only difference is EJ might run a little more then Tuel which unless he ends up running like crazy similar to Vick in his prime won't impact their gameplan that much

The point? It would totally confuse the patriots and result in a complete bills victory. Don't you see the brilliance of the strategy? Tom Brady would basically be wetting himself on the sideline.

Difference the read option produces, read option doesn't take the QB out of the equation. Read option is around and will probably stay here.

Guess you forgot how the wildcat was producing when the Dolphins first started using it

With the success of the read option last year teams have spent the entire offseason preparing for it. I can't believe it finally took until the Super Bowl for a team to start defending it the way its supposed to be by having a defender go right at the QB on every play

Yes plays will still be made and it will be a big part of the NFL this year but with teams defending it better and QBs taking more and more hits especially unnecessary ones it won't stay around too long.

Think the Redskins will be running the read option as much this year after RG3's injury?

I doubt Marrone wants Manuel running much this week. Why tempt fate with that knee.

isn't belichick already at a disadvantage without having tape on either of these guys ?

You believe BellyCheat is at a disadvantage not knowing which rookie QB he will be facing just because he has no regular season tape on either one? :)

The Bills obligation to the league are:

1) an accurate injury report noting which days players practiced (full or limited) and whether they are probable, questionable, or out for the game

2) a list of which players on the 53 man roster are inactive for the game

Who starts, how many snaps a player plays, etc are internal team matters and none of the league's business.

Start Brad Smith! That will really confuse Bellicheat.

And get the Bills in trouble with the league as he is on IR
