OK. Now For C.J

Recommended Posts

Spiller is signed through 2014

Very much a reason to wait. He will cost us more for the next 2 years than his original contract. Unless we can front load it to this year and pay him significantly less the remaining years, ie about the same as he is making now, it doesn't make any sense. We have to get Byrd a new contract next year

Front end load it. That'd be a good idea...but hard to swallow. In 4 years a lot of our guys will be too old to be worth resigning.

Pretty sure it's 2015 since he signed a 5 year deal.

It was a six year deal thru 2015. This is year four.

When his contract expires he will be 29 that coming season.

No reason to even think about extending a running back when he will be a 29 year old free agent.

If he ran for 2,000 yards at age 28 he still wouldn't get more than a big 3 year deal from any team.

Wood got his contract extension... Now lets get C.J his.

I believe the TBD accepted phrasing is

"Wood got extended."

Acceptable variants include: "we extended our wood"

(and who are we kidding? When you dont have Levitre, this is a blessed event)

lets take care of Byrd first

Tag takes care of Byrd since there is nothing else Bills can do per rules agreed to by NFLPA.

And contrary to saying "A Byrd in the hand is worth two in the bush" I'd rather have the 2 if they are draft picks.
