Another Patriot busted

Recommended Posts

Thus I said "in the world of sports."

I have plenty of perspective, believe me.

I just don't have tolerance for people who don't understand what it means to be a fan of a team.

You like Notre Dame AND Syracuse?

Who else do you like?

How many games have you been to in your life? I am sure I have been to more despite being younger. I started going in 1995 as reference.

Sorry to be such a prick but it amazes me that self-professed Bills fans can come onto a Bills forum and stick up for the !@#$ Cheatriots***, Jets, and Dolphins.

If you don't understand the deep enmity and hatred that dyed-in-wool Bills fans feel towards these teams then there's a huge part of your fandom that is totally missing. I'm not saying that you're not a fan but there's a big part of you that just doesn't get it.

I don't expect fans of those teams to be kind to the Bills on their forums and I'm certainly not gonna take kindly to worship of those teams, or "Bills fans" defending those teams or sticking up for those teams, or mocking the Bills because we're not as good as those teams.

Fan is short for !@#$ fanatic. In the world of sports those guys are the **** ENEMIES.

I come here to have good conversations with Bills fans, to laugh a bit, and to agree that we hate those !@#$ing !@#$s.

I don't come here to read people who don't know any better defending those teams or even worse, saying that we can't talk **** about them or that they own us or any of that CRAP.

If any of you wanna go jerk off to a picture of Tom !@#$ Brady, then do so on a goddamned Cheatriots*** board.

Is that too !@#$ hard to understand??????

I've gone to plenty of games both home and away. More than I care to admit actually.

Look.

You've stuck up for the Patriots twice in recent history. You've also been dishonest in your posts.

I'm gonna just go ahead and mark you down as a casual Bills fan and put you on ignore.

That way you don't annoy me and I don't annoy you.

Anyone else remember this guy. He's best known for this time with the Giants, but he ended up going to the Patriots with Parcells:

In 1998, Dave Meggett was arrested in Toronto, Canada, after authorities said he allegedly assaulted an escort worker after a three-way sexual encounter. A trial on the assault charge ended with a hung jury in April 2000.[3]

Meggett was the parks and recreation director in Robersonville, N.C. but resigned in 2006, after he was accused of sexually assaulting his former girlfriend.[4]In 2007, he was convicted of misdemeanor sexual battery in the case, receiving two years probation. Authorities said he was allowed to move back to South Carolina to serve his probation.

On November 10, 2010, Meggett was sentenced to 30 years in prison for burglary and criminal sexual conduct.[5] Meggett's current release date is slated for July 2034.

From the Boston Globe -

New England Patriots defensive back and special teams player Willie Andrews was arrested in Lowell Mass this morning and charged with possession of marijuana and for driving an unregistered car, according to the office of Middlesex District Attorney Gerard T. Leone Jr.

The Patriots declined to comment specifically on Andrews' arrest.

"The conduct of our players is very important to the New England Patriots," spokesman Stacey James said in a statement. "As is our policy, team discipline will be handled internally."

Aqib Talib had been suspended without pay for the 2010 opener and fined one additional game check for violating the NFL’s personal-conduct policy. That followed an altercation with a St. Petersburg cab driver during training camp in 2009. He also had charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Texas dropped a week before he was due to be tried for allegedly firing a gun at his sister’s boyfriend

Brandon Meriweather fired a gun at an assailant who had shot Dolphins backup safety Willie Cooper outside the house the two players shared with another teammate, police said. Meriweather wasn’t charged and police said he used the gun legally.

Inside, the 24-year-old admitted to Lancaster County District Judge Stephanie Stacy that he violated the probation she gave him in April for assaulting a Lincoln police officer and resisting arrest during a scuffle at bar close a year earlier. That was just before the former Husker cornerback was chosen in the NFL Draft.

Now in his second NFL season, Dennard had an interception last week as the Patriots (2-0) defeated the New York Jets. Without a continuance, he could be back in a Lincoln courtroom twice more this season. He faces two misdemeanor charges in the drinking-and-driving incident and is set to appear in court Oct. 8. On Monday, Stacy accepted his admission of violating his probation and set sentencing for that for Dec. 5, when she could give him as many as six years in prison. Until then, Dennard remains on probation.

Sad, and interesting.

Question: HOw do you think the Patriots will handle this? Do you think they will cut him in light of all the Arron Hernandez stuff and the accusations they didn't act soon enough with him?

Are you kidding? He still has value to them, so of course they'll keep him. I surmise that they only got rid of Hernandez when they did because they had folks on the inside who told them how grave his situation was and they'd rather get out in front of that then wait until he was formally charged.

Speaking of the Pats*, anyone else notice that Dashon Goldson, he of many personal fouls and cheap shots (along with Suh and Brandon Merriweather, among others) got suspended this week just in time for the Pats* game?

Well, they were always talking about "the Patriot way" and having a high set of standards during the Herdandez case. But if they aren't willing to bench or cut him at this point, when he's the best CB they have that undercuts the message a bit.

Of course, if he has jail time for when the Bills play the Pats in the last game of the season...

How the F#%K did you not call me and personally tell me about this post back when you did it? I'm amazed I didn't know about this earlier.

that is a strange coincidence isn't it?

Is there a possibility of him appealing it to get to play this week?

They were saying an appeal would be FAST to get an answer this week when discussing on espn yesterday. Given his high volume of penalties lately, comments after week 1s 30k fine about the nfl not changing his game and the nasty hit in week 2.... I'd say this is more about him challenging the nfl publicly than the pats game if you are looking for the hidden agenda.
